I started applying for a jobs a few days ago. I don't know if any of you remember what happend when I worke at Best Buy but I ended up getting fired and alost put in jail for theft (and I did not steal anything...it is a long long story, but I would never steal anything...Igovert could vouch lol). So I went into a local superstore that is like a much much bigger Bet Buy. I figured I would start off there, and apply other places afterwards. I filled it all out with about 7 or 8 others in the room filling out applications as well. (there are tons of applicants now due to the we are hiring sign) I take it up to HR and the guy says hold on and takes it to the back. I then somehow immediately got and interview and then a job. All I do i give people their merchandise after they bought it. So if someone buys speakers for their car, they drive around to the wearhouse and I give them their product. Starting pay is $11/hr which is much better than Best Buy. Went to go take my drug screening, and one of the things I had to do was lift 125lbs in a box up o my chest and then set it back down and then immediately pick it up agian and do the same thing 10 times in a row lol.

wat the hell...that's like working for home depot. my cousin got payed 14.50/hr and all he did was put shit in the car...and get yelled at by the buyer when he couldnt fit a 4x8 plywood stack in a fricken ford escort...haha.

so wat does everyone here do for a living...or at least an income? if u dont mind my asking. i relized i dont much bout anyone on here. i know who's in charge...and that most of u dont really like me.

I work at Home Depot.:banghead: It really sucks, but pays decent ($14.25/hr) and I am the receiving supervisor so i get SOME respect. But I really dislike it because I work with the lower end of the bell curve with reguards to IQ, and the managers in retail love to give the "youve got potential" lecture. I really dont want to work in retail, it is annoying, yet they keep bugging me to become salary.:shakehead

It does pay for school though, so I cant complain much.

I work at the mitsubishi dealership in the parts department.. they basicly stole me from autozone where I was the commercail manager.. I also own pricematchedparts.com honest not that big yet but you have to start somewhere and I am starting to get a few people coming back cause I have good prices.. cough cough slade cough haha I also buy and sell cars all the time.. at anyone time I have at least 3 cars for sale..

Thanks man! I woud lve to make 14.25/hr in collge! I don't start until November 12th but I am glad to be back in the employment crew! lol

It's not even the learning curve, it's just building a referal base. As of now, I've been out most of the week advertising...just gotta wait until all my work pays off...it just sucks right now.

I wish it was thursday at this time because i will be about 2 hours away from home driving the redline home for MN. Now that you have guessed it ill tell ya about it. Its an 05 w/14,000 miles, stock, not the competition package :frown: but thats ok, red with sunroof, and i got it for under book value :sunglasse.

Edit: Yesterday when i was filling with gas i went in to pay and a guy asked me what year the stealth was and i told him 91 and he said he had one too, the same year. I talked to him for about 5 minutes before i realized who he was (not someone important but i recognized him) He was telling me about his ferrari, i was told it was fake before but i guess it was kinda a kit car. Its about 50/50 real and fake. The interior, lights, part of the body, brakes, and suspension is all authentic, but the rest is from other companies. The chassis was custom built, and the engine is a GM 2.8litre supercharged but i dont know what its from. Also a GM rwd tranny. He said 0-60 was about 5 seconds and the 1/4 mile was about 14 seconds. He also told me to flag him down if i saw him so i could drive it WOOT!

my sister used to b a insurance saleperson. she quit after she found out that the company was giving her places that had already been advertised and worked that year. she went like 2 months without any big income. like 5/hr...then commision. it sucked for her. now she works for some company in NYC. she just left working for ralph lauren(cool guy, got to meet him and see some of his cars)

i was just idk...doing nothing. and i got to thinking. there is one car that i think should b brought back. the last year it was made was 1988 and it's the Pontiac fiero. only do it right this time. mid engine it, but start with a 6 and put the 8 as an option. just my opinion. try to keep it under 3000lbs, and 8cyl power around 350-400. it wouldnt impead on vette sales, and if at a decent price might put some compitition on the Boxster. yea neways...off to my race track

Yeah for Halloween! I dressed up as a samurai at work, and the guy under me dressed as clark kent haha, it was awsome. Plus i even brought a bokken (wooden sword) and have been playing with that all day and swordfighting everyone, plus the chicks like it:grinyes: :nono:

So I raced a camaro, mach 1, and bmw 3 series, yesterday...but I won all those, so I'll stick to my 'loss' against a Honda Del Sol. So I'm heading to the post office, annoyed with the slow moving traffic, when all of a sudden a gray Del Sol passes me in the right lane. It has rims, tail lights, 4" muffler, etc...but surprisingly looks rather clean.

The right lane starts moving faster, and I'm stuck creeping at 20mph...so I change lanes a few times and find myself behind the Del Sol about 2 miles up the road. As soon as one car takes a turn, the Del Sol gets some space and guns it. It was cute...really. And I had to go all the way to 50% throttle in 3rd gear to stay near him. It was an amazingly boring sprint from 30-50mph, and right as we reached the point where I thought it positively couldn't get anymore mind-numbing, the schmuck hopped into the turning lane and as I passed him (now at a balls-to-the-wall 55% throttle) he put his hand out the window and gave me the thumbs down. Apparently I lost because I failed to take his rear bumper off...who knew??? Surprisingly he didn't throw on the blinkers, which was rather disappointing..being that we had all this amazing Japanese technology at our fingertips. But I figured if he wanted to do hand signals, I would oblige, quickly choosing one of my favorites to express my whole-hearted congratulations for his victory. :thefinger

Reading that makes me sad. They're nice kills but all that will race me seems to cars like the Prius and VW Fox. :shakehead

just got back from applebees. musta been a show or something nearby that i missed, or a drive around town. there were 10 gto's(pontiacs form the 60's for clarification). a few vettes. a couple vipers, and then the jap muscle. two mk4 supra tt, 4 300zx(3 tt), 6 rx7(all 93+) and 11 3s(combined all but one were tt, and that was a 99 sl, with 99 vr4 spoiler) and a whole shit load of other cars. from lil honda's(yea they let them join on the fun, it's a hobby) to nsx'x and vipers and ferraris and porsches...no no lambo's, hard to find them around here. i know of only 2, and they are about 1/4 mile down the road, at a jazz musicains house

O yeah and not to post whore, but I got back thursday night from driving the redline home from MN 330 miles. Let me just say i absolutely love it! Its so much quicker than i thought it would be. The best part is that no one knows what it is because it is badged very lightly. There isnt a single one in town other than mine. To tell you the truth this is the first one ive ever seen in person. Last night a grand prix gtp came up next to me at about 40 on a somewhat busy street and floored it and kida took off, so i caught up and he slowed down and i dropped it to 2nd at 40 caught some rubber and that S/C screamed and we took off. The guy pulled up next to us at the next light and neither him or the girl he was with would look at us. I inched ahead and we got his attention, so me and my friend gave him a thumbs up and the biggest shit eatin grin you have ever seen lol. He just kinda had a WTF was that look on his face. It was freakin priceless, we laughed for almost an hour. Im gonna go clean it so if the sun comes out Ill get some pics up later

i'll tell u wat, if the ion redline is exactly the same mechanically as the cobalt ss/sc, they are quick. i raced a cobalt ss/sc with my stealth tt. i lost. i grinded 3rd, so i'm not really sure as to what the outcome woulda been. we started at 60, so i started in 2nd. got to 130, and called it quits. he was still moving in that car. it impressed me a lot.

i gots a question. the skyline gtr's have awd, same as do the 3/s turbos. the gtr is rwd based whereas the 3/s is fwd based. where i'm going...are the t-case the same type, or are they mounted in different spots? even though both are front engined

its compleatly differant look at the engine picture in my other threads the motor sits the other way.. the trans output goes strate to rear
