Hit a rut and was on the ground before I knew I was falling. I think about all the crazy stuff I've done and never broke a bone, and then this happened. It was just a fluke thing that proves gravity works. Curse you Sir Isaac Newton!!!!
Ouch! I guess it could have been worse.
gravity? it got me a few months ago I wiped out on the ice and went down faster than I could respone.
Funny we wrote a song about gravity http://music.download.com/lines/3600-8698_32-100098277.html?tag=MDL_listing_song_artist
I'm the guy standing, the pic is about 26yrs old.

I'm glad I've got that great Showa suspension system on my Honda MX bike. I've had religious experiences on the tracks and trails but they have never failed me.
Too bad the BMX and mountain bikes don't have any suspension worth mentioning. Ouch!!!!!!!!

lol. I suppose so Wylie but with my riding gear and helmet on they don't know I'm an old fart until I take off the helmet.
But they love the bike when I park it and rest up a bit. Here she is all cleaned up, serviced and ready for the new racing season. Thats why I need to get back into shape after the NFL football season, the winter and all that Bud Light beer.

My Honda never failed me either, and I did some things on her that would make Evel Kenevel go "DAMN!!!!" My old mountain bike had suspension, but like you said Bob, not much worth mentioning. My new one has hydraulic front forks with 5" of travel, so hopefully I won't be getting any new arm "hardware".

Bob's got all the nice toys Wylie. My CR250 was an ex Jeff Stanton "works" race bike. My Uncle knows some people in the business, and got it for me for next to nothing. It was stupid fast( I could pull CR500's through 5th in a drag race), sold it when I went through my divorce.

Thats rough Rich. Divorces don't help. But remember "What the Lord taketh away, he shall returneth". I retired the first time from the Army at age 40. I'm on my second career. In the next ten years or less I'm going to retire again for good. With the kids grown up it is time to enjoy things and life again. For me it is drag racing and MX racing until I kick the bucket. Adrenaline rush is great!

Amen to that Bob. I've got a new loving wife, better paying job, nicer house, nicer car, etc.... and my ex lives in practical squaller, so I think I came out better. Too bad in Michigan you have to prove the mom to be a crack smoking, alcoholic, prostitute, gun smuggler for a dad to have a chance for custody, or I'd have it all.

My ex (first wife) can get screwed. My second for over 20 years is a good woman. However, take care of those kids, they will be your pride and joy. If lawyers weren't so expensive you could still fight for full custody.

My kids are everything to me. They will never have a "need" as long as I'm alive. My ex and I get along now, and she's a good mom. The kids would be better off with me and my new wife, as we are much more financially stable, too bad the Friend of the Court doesn't see it that way. My ex and my current also get along, so that makes it nice on the holidays, birthdays and such. No evil looks, cat fights (although that could be cool, :evillol: ) and we've never bad talked each other in front of the kids, or used the kids as weapons against each other. As far as divorces go, ours is pretty peaceful. The only way I could get the kids is to prove the mother unfit, and that would hurt my kids, and I won't do that.

You have to do what is in the best interests of the children. I was going by your comment about bad living conditions.
BTW - My first was a dud and couldn't bear any children so it was a very easy and amicable no fault divorce. The German Schiester lawyer was worth every penny. Darn I must be getting old...thats a total of 27 years of marriage.

Sounds like the same boat I was in a few years ago. My ex and I also chose the same path of trying to get along and it worked out for all of us. Some spouses won't do that and make everyone miserable.
A good cat fight is good to watch if you don't know the participants.

Wylie, I gotta remember to download your music from your earlier post when I get home. I don't have speakers here (hear? ) at work. I still think marriage was a womans idea. No man would have come up with an institution where he's limited to sleeping with one woman the rest of his life (I'm not knocking monogamy, I'd never cheat), and if she decides to leave, she gets half his stuff.

Ya check it out my favorite song there is Day of Forgiveness but Gravity downloads have been in 100,000s so people must like it.
The stuff I do now is more Pop R&B style.
I'll post a link to my site when I get finished it,when? I'm hoping soon.
Married? I've been close a couple of times and the same thing still happens today where their nice at first and then the old Jekyll & Hyde thing starts thats when I go running for the door.
Now I have to watch it because I think allot of them are just looking for a retirement package.
But there still around and life is good.

You are in luck Wylie. The biggest Harley dealer in San Antonio is Alamo City. Most of the motorcycle dealers are outiside of or on the 410 Loop. But Alamo is not too far from downtown SA. See link below:

Just check out the Latinas like Shakira and Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives). San Antonio has a bunch of them. BTW - It is 50% Hispanic. In El Paso 80%.
As far as they way I look alot of people say I look like Jackie Chan when I am nice and Bruce Lee when I'm mad. My mother is Korean. Father (rip) a gringo from New Jersey.

What's it like over there in Saudi Arabia? Is it as bad as some portray it to be? (e.g., women degraded, everyone hates America, etc)
My best friend is half Iranian and every single Persian I have met are friendly and really generous people. But of course they are the ones who actually wanted to come to the US.

Not really. A lot of Saudis may not care for our government and the way we support Israel. They are still very Pro American and like the American people. But they sure like our labor and material items like our cars and SUVs. Also, they like our military weaponry. I was a defense advisor on Air Defense Guided Missiles.
But thats kind of hypocritical because they are a monarchy. The King doesn't put up with any B.S. Like any Arab country they have their religion - Islam guiding or misguiding them. The Saudi's are nice people and very hospitable. I never had any problems with them. You get used to their customs and blend in. Plus Westerners have their own nice compounds where we live away from the Saudis. They do degrade women and the Sharia law is strict. A thief has the offending hand chopped and they execute all murderers and drug dealers. They will stone women to death that cheat on their husbands. A Saudi man can have up to 4 wives.
When I was over there all I thought about was my bank account...lol.

San Antonio was great, what a great spot to go have a good time, lots a great food.
They've added a few things since I was there 5 yrs ago now theres a Hard Rock and a hotel called WaterMark with a pool on the roof, hung out there for a while.
Been back since Friday I've almost made a full recovery.
The trip itself sucked going though airports is hell now a days I remember when I was young I use to enjoy it.
I'd recommend San Antonio to any body who enjoys walking around having drinks and good food it was great I'll probably go back on my own time sometime.

No thanks. I can't stand the only one I have.
Good question. They do have to support the ex-wife due to the children.
However, each Saudi has to show proof of financial responsibility to take on more than one wife. Plus he has to treat all of them equally and fairly. Doesn't sound like a good deal to me. Better off having a mistress....lol.

However, each Saudi has to show proof of financial responsibility to take on more than one wife. Plus he has to treat all of them equally and fairly. Doesn't sound like a good deal to me. Better off having a mistress....lol.

This multiple wife thing is enough to give you a headache thinking of all the possibilities. My dad and I were out having a beer a while back and a mother/daughter combo came in, both smoking hot. So I asked my dad, what if I hooked up with the mom and you hooked up with the daughter, and then we all had kids, what would our kids be to one another. Now there's something to make your head hurt.

Glad you had a good time Wylie. Maybe one day you can make it to El Paso. Best part is Mexico is right across the border.
My father and I stayed in a hotel in Puerto Vallarta, MX that had a pool on the top. The mamasitas were hot. Best part was it was off the tourist path area and Mexican nationals from the interior book there. When in Rome act like a Roman. :grinyes:

Hey Wylie, you kooky Canucks brought us Hockey, so I'm forever indebted to you guys up there, eh! In Michigan, we get a lot of Canadian coins, and when a friend from OK came up here, he thought it was cool because he found a Canadian Quarter. I hated to burst his bubble, but I pulled the change from my pocket and showed him it's common. Guess your money doesn't get down that far, :icon16:

Funny coins was one of the topics when I was playing golf down there and I noticed one guy was using a Canadian quarter as a maker on the greens he was surprised when I told him that it was real money he thought it was just some kind of commemorative coin.
Another guy from Michigan spoke up and said the same as you, they see them all the time.
We get allot of mixed pennies I don't think anybody really notices coppers copper.
RUST! bnaylor3400: ya your lucky its enough to make me cry when I see it.
rihctazz:If you ever want to go somewhere warm in the winter even for a weekend you'd really like San Antoino.

The problems we get down here with coins are with Pesos. BTW - They are worthless. No value.
Yeah, I know what you mean about rust Wylie. I'm getting my son's Olds Alero ready for a big climate change. Rustproofing everything I can think of. Its going to New York state early next year for a few years.

Just remember wylie, Bob gets free natural sandblasting. He doesn't have to deal with rust, but his paint still takes a beating. I will get to Texas one of these days, if for nothing else, to buy Bob a beer or two.

Needless to say thats where West Point is located. Speaking of Armor. Thats his military branch. I guess if some New Yorker pisses him off he can run them over with an M1 Battle Tank....lol.

Yeah, I wasn't the genius who planned it. I just agreed to go.
I am thinking of spending the $60 to go on one of those bar tours at night. Sounds like fun. We'll see though.

I haven't done the bar trips
But I can give you a couple of tips.
Walk out to the main srtip and you can take the local bus any where for .75cents.
If your going to take a cab don't take one from the front of the hotel walk away from the hotel and flag one on the street for 1/4 the price.
If your renting a car call Hertz or somebody before you go and pick it up down there or else you'll pay four times the price.
If you get in trouble don't argue with the local police.
Its a nice place you should have fun.

We get a lot of dust storms but the damage to the paint and finish really isn't that bad at all. I'd rather have it over rust which is too destructive. You can always get a new paint job or have a panel like the bumper cover painted.
BTW - I still have my original paint and it still looks like it came off a showroom floor. Thank goodness for clear coat. I park in a parking garage at work and a double car garage at home so it gets very limited exposure to dust or the sun. I definitely do not drive it when the dust and sand blows. We use the Regal LS as the workhorse and suprisingly it is in great shape finish wise. I won't drive the Regal GS when the weather is bad either. Thats why I have so low mileage on the GTP (92K) and Regal GS (55K).
If any of you guys ever decide to visit El Paso let me know. Plenty of good food and drink in this town. It was voted the fattest city in the US at one time.

Well all I can say its bad enough my dog and I are getting old but now its my car to.
Actually its only in one spot where the gas cap hangs and the paint gets marked up, I think I'm going to cut that little piece of plastic so the cap doesn't hang there any more when I'm filling up.

Good idea. I got rid of mine when I installed a locking gas cap.
Hopefully one of these days we can all meet up. I was thinking of making the next Baja 1000 I believe in November. Tijuana and Ensenada are fun towns.
