My GP is just a GT, so no modding plans there. The Harley is a work in progress (chrome, hop-up parts, more chrome, more hop up parts, etc...:iceslolan). My wife and I have an agreement to keep my spending in line, she gets to spend and equal amount on shoes and bling that I do on the bike. Otherwise, I'd go nuts and have a 124" S&S motor, 6 speed gearbox, etc...,

Yeah, good idea there . Chrome your wife and "hop her up" in an equal fashion you do to your bike. Then when they both are done you can have her ride behind you as people look in amazement'

That would be the Omaha Police Department.
Long story short, the Huskers lost a devastating game to Va Tech and it went downhill from there. Cops cross-blocked the driveway so we couldn't get away. :(
It wasn't anything too serious, just some frustrated fans. :p

Reasons motorcycles are better than wives
1. You can ride your motorcycle any time you want
2. Your motorcycle doesn't mind if you look at other motorcycles
3. Your motorcycle doesn't mind if you ride other motorcycles
4. If you decide you don't like your motorcycle anymore, you can get rid of it without losing your house, kids, pension, etc...
5. Motorcycles don't nag.
God I hope my wife doesn't see this, lol!

Well done Rich. I love the gearhead jokes regardless. Here are a few:
1. You're a 3S owner if you run a 12 secon 1/4 at 104 mph.
2. You're a 3S owner if your turbos boost at idle and die before you realized they kicked in.
3. You're a 3S owner if you carry a screwdriver in your car for when your intake pipe blows off....it happens
4. You're a 3S owner if you drive a twin turbo and boost only 6 psi (as opposed to 12) because your stock boost solenoid is broken...standard
5. You're a 3S owner if you take over 3 hours to change your spark plugs.
Just a few....I could go on for years, trust me.

Hey Guys,
I dont think I've shown you these pictures yet....
We put a ported Intake Manifold on my friends 2008 Pontiac GTO 6.0 V8 about a month or so ago. I snapped a couple pictures on my camera cell phone. Sorry for not the best quality.
It is the most pecular setup I have seen. When he told me he was putting a ported intake on, I said "which one? Upper or Lower?" and he said, "there is just one". Turns out the upper intake is the plastic composite materal, and it bolts straight to the heads. The valley area between the heads being colvered up by a flat piece of metel. I think some older GM motors are like this, but I just have never worked on one like this before. In all actuality, it was quite an easy motor to work on.
What do you think? Near mirror finish on them heads....
I guess he is now putting in a procharger and some other mods which are costing thousands of dollars. His goal is to beat a vette.

Why did he sell it? What year, mileage, condition, etc? $4,500 is dang cheap, especially for a 2nd gen!

Tell me about it!
1994 Dodge Stealth 3.0DOHC Twin Turbo Intercooled AWD Blue with black leather interior and I think he had an aftermarket adjustable waste gate on it and some other stuff along with a turbo timer.
Last I heard it had around 130,000 on it. He sold it because it needed a ball joint and a tire because the worn out ball joint cause premature wear on the tire. Plus I think he has a few speeding tickets and full coverage on it was killing him.
But still 4500 bucks...... (even after I showed him the link you sent me.)

Hmmm. The stock housing can be made into countless turbos that are just bolt-on turbos that require no new exhaust manifolds or anything with different internals. With the stock housing people have run 10.5's so they can vary greatly lol. I think you told me he was going to get some converted 13G's (slightly bigger turbine, stock housing) from a mid 90's DSM (Eclipse/Talon/Laser).
I actually looked at buying a friend's 19T (again stock housing) VR4 with the works as my DD about 5 months ago but I could not see myself driving a car like that on a daily basis at this point and time. 550 awhp is fun as hell to read and talk about. I took a ride in it and it wasn't fun, it was the scariest thing I have ever had the misfortune to witness.

The 10.5 was reached on full weight (~3,700 lbs, yeah we're fat lol). However, he did have p/p heads along with an amazing tune (still stock cams though). Not something you see often on a bolt-on turbo. Most are mid to upper 11's in order to have a car they can drive regularly. If I recall correctly he was running E85, not pump gas. Not to take away from it, as it was a good run. Either way, he should have sold it to me at that price!!! Grrrr, I can't believe he sold it. :(

too bad i dont have $6k just lying around haha. after shipping, and a good tune...it'd probably be close to $10K. plus...sure as he!! wouldnt wanna keep the tranny a stocker. :grinno:
according to the turbo kits website you can "safely" run 7-8 psi on a stock engine. only tranny upgrade the kit comes with is a shift kit. as it is I'm surprised the 4t65e holds up to the V8 let alone running 8 psi

If you follow Cartunings recommendation not to exceed 8-9 psi boost. Also take note the Turbo is a Turbonetics T66 which is big. The blowoff valve is 50mm.

IMO part of the problem for the U.S. is the Internet. It empowers people including morons. However, a real education especially higher is what matters and not an Internet education.

Great Christmas Presents Bob. I am not expecting much over here.... I dont really need/want anything, so I'm happy with anything I get.
Other than that, right now we are being hammered with snow in MN. So far it has been snowing since about 7pm and we are up to probably just over 6 inches. It is supposed to snow all day tomorrow and not let off untill christmas morning.
Sucks that I have to work tomorrow morning, and a little bit on christmas. Driving in this much snow is just a joy. Good thing I have the pickup, I had to already lock in the 4x4 tonight backing out of the driveway.... sheesh.
But Merry Christmas to Everyone!
In other news, I found a 1999 grand prix gt on craigslist tonight with 130k the owner is asking 1500. I sent him and email and depending on the shape it is in, I might be picking it up and selling the GTP. This one I found is black with black leather, sunroof, HUD, enhanced DIC, basically a GTP minus the supercharger. Looks really sharp from the pictures. Seems like a reasonable price. I just don't know. I am going to start getting into trouble if I bring home too many more toys.....

On that note, I wish each and every one of my AF buds a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays for those of you that don't celebrate Christmas, and a safe and prosperous new year!!!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!
Thanks for taking the snow Tim! :grinyes: We had it hit on Monday and Tuesday, but the rest of the week is supposed to be sunny, but still cold enough the snow won't melt = white Christmas!

Guys,
Heard another song on the radio in the GTP driving home from work one night, on KQ92 (old school rock), and I can't understand a single word in it. I recorded a portion of the end of it with my cell phone. Its not very good quality, but if you can listen to it quick, and let me know if you know it, I'd appreciate it.
Bob? You were my hookup with money for nothing by dire straits.
Here is a link to download. Its an MP3. Just open it with windows media player.

2 for 2 Bob, I'm impressed!
funny how on the radio I can't understang a single word, once I have it in itunes, everything is clearer and easier to understand. Maybe because sound quality is better.

And I have a hearing loss too in my left ear. Probably from listening to too much rock music in the past especially those wild concerts. A Doctor told me you can get hearing loss from your car. :dunno:
Happy New Years all!!!!
BTW - Be safe.

I remember some of those concerts back in the '80s, especially those club ones where your ears were ringing for 3 days after.

Bob, guys, another one!
This one is going to be hard, I was only able to capture the last few seconds of the song, so I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help out or not.
Same deal, It was on the classic Rock station.

From what I could hear, it sounded like Van Halen's "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love"

pretty good deal. Only applies to new cars though...so it doesnt really interest me. i would love to have a G8 but in all reality it would just need a place to sit half a year just like my GTX, and i just dont have the room unfortunatly. :headshake

Yeah me either. I wish I could buy one and just park it, but full coverage insurance for me on it would run 1000-1500 for 6 months. Even with no at fault accidents and no tickets. Just being a 23yr old male driver with a V8 seems to jack the price up pretty steep. I'm happy with the GTP for the time being.

Looks like both your Cowboys and my Packers made it this year Bob. :D I have no doubt both teams will have to play lights out in the playoffs.
