Parts interchangeability makes it easier and cheaper to stock their plants with parts, and gets a new model to production a lot quicker. My wife has a red 97 Trans-Sport, (my car is a Red 99 Grand Prix Gt) and our vehicles use a lot of the same parts. I think our neighbors call us the crazy Red Pontiac people in the middle of the block.

The fuel gauge on my GTP reads wth ignition off so that appears to be normal. On both of my Regals the fuel gauge drops to below E with ignition off. It goes to show that not all GM '"W" bodies are created equal. But it sure is nice having parts that are interchangeable for troubleshooting purposes. However, not all GM parts are interchangeable so you have to be very careful even though they may look the same. Verify the part number.

Good man! I believe the best one you had and we helped out on was the digital climate control reading in celsius instead of fahrenheit. Glad we can help out. Just don't give up.

lol. I got off pretty cheap on my first and only divorce so far. Best $5K I ever spent. And that went to the German Scheister lawyer. No kids and no alimony. Nice when the other half is a Professional and has a decent income.
Jimmy, are you a UT Longhorn? Undergraduate or a graduate? My alma mater is Texas Tech.
My son will be flying to Austin this Friday from West Point and then head out to Spring Break with his girlfriend. She's a TAMU Aggie but will be picking up her friend who attends UTA. I guess it is that time of the year. I was too old to enjoy Spring break the way most college kids do.

Yeah, the whole State of Texas supports the Longhorns, especially after kicking USC's rear end. :ylsuper:
Yeah, tuition is quite high at UTA. I was fortunate, Uncle Sam paid for my education (GI bill) in exchange for serving the country. Good school but there are other good ones within the University of Texas system and elsewhere.
Getting a higher education will pay off in the long run. Good luck!

lol. Not much of a smiley variety on AF. I used it because the hand symbol looks looks the Texas Longhorn. You do a Mr. Spock by holding two of the middle fingers down. The index and pinky represent the cow's horns. Of course it is easy to switch to the finger (bird) if the other team wins.

Ya San Antiono March 20th it'll be nice to get some warm weather.
The seed guy Mark Emery I've been reading about that its crazy selling seeds here is a two hundred dollar fine in the U.S. he faces multiple life sentences.
It make no sense to me a little weed never hurt anyone plus its not additive but cigarettes are killing people by the thousands and its OK for the government to sell them to us.I'm glad their watching out for us.

Which race was that. I keep track of the national Supercross MX races. The ones with Ricky Carmichael (Suzuki) and James Stewart (Kawasaki). The helmet cams let you see that it is a pretty tough job MX racing.

I understand that March in Michigan can bring some whacky weather, but get this swing in weather we just experienced here in Flint, MI:
March 13th, 3:00pm, sunshine and 69 degrees
5:30pm, thunderstorms and a tornado watch
8:00pm, high wind (gusts to 70mph) and 36 degrees with snow
March 14th, 6:30am, 24 degrees, wind chill factor of 15 degrees with snow
expected
All I can do is shake my head, overload on vitamin-c, and pray I don't get sick like everyone else is around here, sheesh.

Yup, as a matter of fact it is sunny but chilly. We dropped into the high 30s for a low. It is warming back up though. Last week we had a few dust storms and days of high winds because we had the Jetstream right over us. But that is typical for this time of year here.
The midwest got it pretty bad. Reports of around 125 tornadoes.

Tequila is not too bad as long as you take a hint from Clint Eastwood. "A man has got to know his limitations". lol.
It's nicknamed "Wine of the Earth" and has a pretty interesting history. I succumb to peer pressure from the inlaws (outlaws). Always a bottle of Jose Cuervo worm included around at our family parties. It goes with the territory.
I visited the Tecate beer plant in Mexico (Baja) several years ago. Nice operation and at the end of the tour you get a free Tecate beer with a lime.

Thanks Wylie. Yeah it is rough bringing up kids. Too many bad influences out there. When I got him his car I made him make the insurance payments so he had to get a job in high school. Since he was a swimmer lifeguarding was the best route. He has saved a lot of kids and adult lives at the pools.
Speaking of health I've got to act on my New Years resolution. Gonna start going for runs with the dog and do some moderate weight lifting. We both need it. I'm losing upper body strength to handle the MX bike this year. Picked up a couple of bottles of Bayer aspirin and popping one every day for the next month. I heard it was good for the heart. Getting old. :shakehead

Same here I limit milk products.
How do those nutrition bars taste?
Sounds like a good year for health. It is never too late. :bigthumb:

Well out of the health bars out there Zone's are the best for ya, taste OK
I just use them to keep from starving or else your metabolism slows.
And I'd rather do that than hit a fast food joint.
This is the guy that started the Zone http://www.drsears.com/welcome.page what I liked about these guys is their credentials.
Read up on Sears and try it you'll notice a huge difference in the way you feel.
I can party longer and harder now than I ever did :D

SInce my mountain biking accident(broke right arm, now have steel plate and 9 screws), I've found it hard to get back into exercising like i know I should. The funny thing is, I know I had more energy and felt better when I did, but it's so hard motivating myself to get started again. At 5'9", and pushing 200 lbs, it's time to get off my lazy butt. I'm broad shouldered and normally am about 190 in good shape, but everything has slid down and gotten soft.

It gets worse when you get over 40 and then compounds after 50.
I was thinking about enrolling in one of those high impact aerobics classes at one of the gyms....with members of the opposite sex. Might as well make it worth while.:evillol:

Motivation is the hardest part, funny thing its all in your head.
Unmotivated feel lousy, feel lousy become more unmotivated and so on.
I know when I started watching what I eat it became much easier to break that cycle.
Mountain bike? what'd you do hit a tree?

Watch you don't strain your eyes.
Speaking of that and not that I don't like you guys but we could use some women in this thread.
What happen to GTPgirl? I think thats what she went by.

Hit a rut and was on the ground before I knew I was falling. I think about all the crazy stuff I've done and never broke a bone, and then this happened. It was just a fluke thing that proves gravity works. Curse you Sir Isaac Newton!!!!

There are a few women on here, but not enough I agree. There's a couple of cuties over in the Lumina forum, but one hates her Lumi, so when she gets a new car, she'll be gone too.

I saw a GTP Gal one day. One of the gals was scared off by one of the Moderators. KustomKid54 (Jim) had a few words to say to him. His screen name begins with Fl.
