If you have a woman that you're hugging on, trust me, you're paying for it.
How true Rich. It doesn't make any difference if you are married or single. You get it coming and going.

Ahh, aren't you folks sweet. But in all honesty, other than the local guys here, I usually do get flamed by somebody on the GP forums as it is bound to happen. In all honesty, I think the only reason people act the way they do around here is because of the stern dictative fist richtazz and Bnaylor carry around here. :sly:

If that was true we would have exercised the ban stick. :uhoh:......
Actually, we are nice compared to the old days.
On another subject my son called last night. He took his GXP to a dragstrip located in Montgomery, Alabama which is about 60 miles from Ft Benning. GA.
His best run out of three produced a 14.4 sec. 1/4 ET with a trap speed of 98 mph. Overall track conditions were good but the humidity was very high. The 60 foot was 2.3 seconds so obviously there is a traction issue. The folks there were amazed by his burnouts at staging considering it is a FWD car.

Sounds like he had fun though Bob. I wish there was a track a little closer to me. For me to run my car at a full 1/4 mile I would have to drive about 2 1/2 which still isn't horrible.
All jokes about the stern ruling though....for now. :D

Would that be a Gibbs style smack in the head. :rofl:That was some good times for the drag strip. I had a Chysler mini van for doing field service. I was getting some heat dur having to replace the passenger front tire. This van would do the best burn outs, I could get a huge cloud of smoke.

What motor would these Chrysler vans have in them that would roast off the rubber so much? Thats funny!
I know the GM FWD mini-vans with 3800's always could roast the tires like no ones buisness too.

I think he was a little irritated that an old GTP smoked him.

Why don't I ever find these deals. :banghead:
A friend of mine just picked up a red 99 GTP (basically the GTP version of my car), 104k miles, clean as a whistle for $800.
The previous owner thought the trans was shot so just wanted to unload the car. My buddy found a used trans for a great price before buying the car, but brought the car to me for a second opinion before going any further.
All it needed was a hub bearing. I helped him replace the hub and the car runs/drives as good as new. It was almost torture test driving it afterward.
I told him he sucks!!!

Your telling me Bob! I'm sure that truck would be a close race if only he wouldnt have had 5inch exhuast straight back. What an idiot! Not to mention its such a gas hog and if your not towing anything there is no reason to ever buy it.
Rich, that was a killer deal. What a lucky son of a gun!
Guys, I have a rather stupid question and its probably a long shot....
I was at a friends house tonight, he was having drivibility issues with his GTP. Diagnosed and repaired a bad MAP sensor vacuum line T. It is all fixed and running good. But as were were searching down the vacuum leak, he had the radio playing. It was tuned to KQ92 which is sort of an older rock station (skynyrd, def lep, acdc, zztop). A song came on the radio that I have heard numerous times in the past, but for the life of me I cannot find it on itunes. It sort of has the back ground guitar music of what sounds like a ZZtop song but I dont think it is. The only portion of the song I could make out was what sounded like "...................Microwave Oven".
Anyone sort of know the song I am talking about? Let me know! Thanks!

I like this review of the product on another site:
I purchased on line a $69.95 (plus shipping) a bottle of chemical to fix a blown head gasket. I spoke with Jim and he felt certain it would work, regardless the product was guaranteed. Steel Seal shipped promptly, I followed directions completely and the product did not work.
SOURCE (http://www.my3cents.com/showReview.cgi?id=15188)
Reading through the comments on that YouTube page he comes across as cocky, and not very friendly if he's trying to promote a product of his. He quickly resorts to name calling, etc. All this from an "Emmy Award winner" for his work?:shakehead:

What kind of 41 year auto expert still works on cars out in the street?
A better demonstration would have been a steaming car that stops steaming after the miracle juice was added, using time lapse to show the car wasn't tampered with during the 30 min run/seal period. How do we know that pile he poured that crap into even had a head gasket issue in the first place? Lastly, I agree that the head gasket in his hand would not/could not have been helped by this crap, it had a chunk missing for God's sake!

I always tell people who are asking about elctronic s/c's to just give me the money and I'll push their rear bumper with my car.
On a side note a guy at UPP performance in Colorado decided he was going to have his cake and eat it too. He owns a 1st gen VR-4 and has big ol' TD05 16G turbos (good for high 500whp on pure pump) but they are a bit laggy. So, he decided he would just triplecharge his car with a roots type supercharger and two large turbos. All I can say is it is the weirdest sounding vehicle I have ever heard in my entire life.
Here is a video of it. Make sure and watch towards the end where he is on a dyno for about 3 seconds in the video to hear the turbos spool up too.

Tim, have you tried a new cap and rotor yet?
The cap that goes on that engine is a stupid design. I guess GM decided it was more important to have all the wires lined up neatly rather than have the most efficient spark path. If you look at the top of your cap, you will notice that the spark travels all the way across from the opposite side for cylinder #3. The way the cap is made, #3 meanders all over, coming very close to #4, #2, #5 and #7 pathways as well as the center coil terminal. It is the most common cylinder to misfire when the cap starts to carbon track due to age or a cheap replacement brand. Here's a link to Delco's website picture of the cap on your truck.
http://198.208.187.182/internet/ViewPartImage.jsp?acdelcoPartNumber=d329a
#3 is the one that snakes across the center of the cap, from the center on the left of the pic to the wire tower on the right side, second from the top. Nice design huh?!?!

Not only is that one gaudy Saudi, but nice parking job in the first pic.
The rear tire is 2 ft up on the sidewalk, there's a no parking/tow-away zone sign and I assume the 2-way arrow under it means that applies to the spots on either side (including the spot our guilded pony is in). A better picture would be of it on a hook getting drug away because Sheik Badtaste can't park.

Hey Rich, Thank You for the info. I actually just sold the truck for 500 more than I paid. I replaced the heater core, and gave it a good wash. The new owner has a new 350 to throw in it. (number 3 had low compression) and I think a connecting rod bearing is shot because the motor is knocking. Actually when I pulled the plug on number 3, the plug itself had some damage almost like someone had dropped something in. I would keep it, but I just don't have the time to spend on repairing it. Plus I called around to all the local salvage yards and could not find a 350 block. Here is a video and some pictures.

It depends on the times Rich. Common in the Middle East and especially in Europe which includes parking up over the curb on part of the sidewalk. It is legal and I used to do it all the time since the streets are so narrow. Hate to wake up in the morning and see the driver's side of the car side swiped. :grinno:

Yeah, you're right. Some of us are busy getting ready for that onslaught of snow that usually hits in a few short weeks. Time to put the good cars in storage for 6 months, and all that's associated with that. :iceslolan We know once Fall hits, our good days are limited.

I am wishing for a blizzard. I am here but have to keep an eye out for the landlord. He is a real *******. He is trying to evict me because I deducted $450 from the $775 a month rent I pay. I had access but could not stay because the water was not on. It took him 10 days to get the water turned on. I had to pay $45 a night extra to stay in a hotel. I was only allowed to deduct $26 a day for 10 days for a total of $260.

And even with a $40,000,000 QB (with the lowest QB efficiency rating in the NFL I might add) the Lions keep on losing.

Alex,
Do you know any good places to buy lower controll arms online for a 94 stealth AWD 3.0 DOHC twin turbo? My friend has a bad ball joint and he priced them out at the dealership which will cost him 700 each side. They ball joint is apparently one with the Lower controll arm and you have to replace them as a unit.

I checked with a friend of mine who runs an online store and specializes in 3S's but he does not have them which is too bad because he could have gotten you a sweet deal.
However, you could try pressing the new balljoints (rent a presser from autozone). In fact you could get balljoints from a Hyundai Sonata or Tiburon as they are the exact same as the ones we use....part number and all. I wouldn't go out and replace them just yet as there are cheaper methods that can be done first. Get some cheap press in ball joints from either one of the aforementioned and press them in and you're good to go. Along with that, you'll save a LOT of money. ;)
EDIT: You can get balljoints a lot cheaper than this if you do what I mentioned above but here is what I am talking about:
http://www.3sx.com/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=1426
FYI, 3SX is always really expensive for both parts and shipping.

Hahaha, yeah. He is persistent on a VR4 vs VR4 showdown. I'll have to remind him he is still in a 13 second car. :D Kidding of course.
On a serious note, how is your GTP and hog doing? Any plans/changes?
