The Official Blazer Forum Off Topic Thread

I've been thinking about doing this for a while, and this seemed like a good time to do it because there have been a lot of threads going off topic lately....I'm not pointing fingers because I know that I'm one of the worst ones about it.

Some of us like to talk about random things or tell stories, jokes, etc. and there's really no place to do it other than hosing someone else's thread, or starting numerous threads of our own. I thought that this would keep down on the clutter and help keep the other threads on topic.

Here's a story I found:
A woman accidentally set fire to her own home Tuesday while trying to kill snakes on her front porch, according to investigators. She said she found a nest of snakes in a couch on her porch and doused the snakes with lighter fluid.When she threw a match on them, the couch burned and so did her house.

Howard Phifer, who lives up the street, said there are a lot of snakes in this area. "I've been in this area 45 years," Phifer said, "and that's' the most snakes I've seen since I've been here." After the woman set the couch on fire she realized the flames were spreading, so she ran inside to call for help. The fire then engulfed the home and she had to jump out of a window.

The woman is okay and so is her dog. Phifer said he has an idea why snakes are slithering into his neighborhood. "Building houses and running them out of the woods or what not," said Phifer. "All I know is they're around."

I like that show, too. I've also been watching American Dad, it's almost just like the family guy. My wife makes fun of me and says I'll never grow up.

Have you guys seen Top Gear? It comes on Discovery channel Wednesdays at 10:00. They show some bad ass cars on there. I watch it every week.

I saw that the other day the british guy trying to get into the Ford Gt the old one was pretty good and then him thinking he could go offroading in the Scottish mountains with that brand new Land Rover and he kept getting stuck

Anyone watching the news? One of the levees busted in New Orleans and 80% of the city in under water.

I saw that and was like holy crap but whats goin down im Mississippi is like worse from what there tellin me on.New Orleans has no power so there not gettin rid of that water anytime soon/

Even the ones taking produce and stuff from grocery stores...that's not so bad, because it would just rot anyway. The ones that are raiding what is left of people's homes, robbing jewelry stores, and shooting people should be executed just for being leaches on society. They are probably the ones that refuse to work and live on welfare and are now exploiting the hardships of people who work for a living to pay for what they have.

stealing for survival (ie food, blankets... a boat) is one thing, electronics, cars, or flat out "fun" stuff is down right dirty, the ins. company wouldnt need to get involved if the store could return all the jl as water damaged defective, but missing is another thing...

jumped overnight from 2.68 to 3.48 per gallon, and by the end of today, the tri counties were up to 4.3X, this is fucking rediculus... if every one in the states refrained from buying gas for 24 lousy hours the oil industry would be out 40 billion dollers in what they expected to sell that day... thats only the states, that doesnt include canada, europe, south and central america.

I gave up our last sled earlier this year. It was a 89 Yamaha SnoScoot. My kids outgrew it and I got tired of it taking up space in the garage. Nice sled though - electric start, 80cc, it would do about 25 with my 230lb ass on it! Nice sled to jump and do tricks on.
