speaking of mountains. That bike tour that I volunteer on, which goes through part of the Rockies. "Ride the Rockies" (http://ridetherockies.com)If I don't get the job of 'agent orange" this year, we spray chalk the route with directions, and funny sayings to keep spirits up, I'm taking the truck ons its second 400+ mile road trip. (heading into New Mexico for a bit too). I really want to see what this truck will do. About two years ago, when I took the truck I got it maxed at 94. hopefully with the CAI and exhaust, i can push it farther.

A subaru or an AWD Audi might be a good car for you since you like the back roads.
Toyota made a 4wd wagon, and Mazda even made a few turbo AWD 323's (I saw 1 almost 15 years ago)

Thing i get a lot in the produce dept is this;

Shawn stocking the cucumbers. Lady walks over sometimes attractive sometimes not. She picks up cucumbers and goes "Wow i can not believe its this big or Wow this is huge or This is going to work great." I have heard about 5 variations on this. Everytime i try to contain laughter but being a 18 year old still wet behind the ears i have to laugh cuz thats funny.
The best time was a mother daughter came over and the mother said to her daughter this is going to work great and im looking at her daughter and we both lost it so i didnt feel as bad but her mom stood their and went whats so funny. I proceeded to walk away.

My mom's zip is V0H 1M0, If I remember correctly AF didn't like Canadian Zip codes when I joined so I just made up an imaginary one.

I don't get Mail sent to Vancouver Island so I don't know my zip code here.
That's the advantage of being debt free, e-mail is good for everything then

http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1269
It was one of the first things that ShortBus posted in the FAQ section

PM me a short list of what you have, and a general price. I don't like getting parts up from the US because of customs, but if there's someone down south looking I like to send them in the right direction

I wish that I was planning on a V8 conversion.

Someone looked at the Blazer on Saturday, so I really don't know how long I'll own it.

If it sells it'll be a tough choice between the Bronco II that we have (in need of head gaskets and I'd probably just get a re-built motor)
Or finding another Blazer, preferably with a good transmission and frien 4.3L

So far I've had 4 potential customers, and 2 of the cars that they looked at had dead batteries :banghead:
They were both out on Saturday without any indication of the batteries going flat, so I don't know what happened.
The one customer said that he'll be back soon to try the Jag.

No bigger kick to ones balls then waiting at the Jyd to sign title over and see a guy come in and ask the proprietor when can he start to tear stuff of the new blue blazer that came in. I thought of clocking him as the title had not yet changed hands and that was one final kick in the sac.

75 bucks for the truck.

OverBoardProject
03-14-2006, 01:12 AM
They only gave you $75.00?

That SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would have given you more, even though you know how I feel about bringing things through customs. I'm sure that I could have used several parts off it.

OverBoardProject
03-14-2006, 02:16 PM
Working in a car lot sure has it's bad points. I had all the batteries charged up last week plus a spare just in case it was needed. And now I need 1 more, and the last 3 vehicles that I've tried showing all have dead batteries.

It looks like I've lost at least 1 sale because of it.

It doesn't help that the boss is on holidays, so it's a little hard getting parts until next week.

mike1224
03-14-2006, 03:41 PM
How are batteries dying without lights being left onm and driven recently? other then a bad batt?? I know though... I always see cars being jumped at the car lots.

OverBoardProject
03-14-2006, 03:51 PM
I really don't know how the battery in the Chev pickup died, with the Jag it's usually the lights left on. The switch is kinda funny.

As for the GMC Safari van, it been started several times but not run in the last month.

Now I have to go to a hardware store and buy some bolts so I can charge up these side post batteries

mike1224
03-14-2006, 03:56 PM
I hate the side pole batteries. I have them on this truck. I already looked, theres NO room between the battery and the hood for a top pole battery

heres a joke from offtopic

A man and his ever-nagging wife went on vacation to Jerusalem. While they were there, the wife passed away. The undertaker told the husband, "You can have her shipped home for $5,000, or you can bury her here, in the Holy Land, for $150." The man thought about it and told him he just would have her shipped home. The undertaker asked, "Why would you spend $5,000 to ship your wife home when it would be wonderful to be buried here and you would spend only $150?" The man replied, "Long ago a man died here, was buried here, and three days later he rose from the dead. I just can't take that chance."
