I don't even have an e-bay account, so it wasn't me Shawn. I would just deal with you directly if I needed something that you had for sale. It would be funny though if I bought something from you off e-bay without knowing whom I was getting it from.

What city is it though? there's a tiny chance that I know the person.

I gave someone on the S10 board a link to your add yesterday looking to do a V8 swap in a second gen.

It's Thrifty Foods that I'll be seeing.
http://www.thriftyfoods.com/common/index.html
Although their Courtenay location.

It costs a little more for most items there but the quality is way better.
Plus I understand that they really treat their employees good.

I won't even get any meat for my dog from the second biggest chain, even though they're the cheapest. Their sandwich meat smells like it's rotten the day you buy it.

Plus even though they proudly boast that they pay up to $22.00 an hour they don't tell their new employees that it takes over 10 years to get there.
I personally don't believe in business practices like that.
They should Be honest with the people and give them a fair 1 and 3 year goal to work towards.

Just letting you guy's know that the interview was put off until we both have more time.

I couldn't shut the car lot down for a couple of hours while in an interview, and he was happy to hear that.

He's hoping on arranging a late interview.

I would imagine that it's for a produce position, or possibly stock boy. But we never talked about that.

with either position, its usually easy. The produce manager has talked to me a few times that he wants me over in the department. I'd like to try it out since you are constantly moving around and have things to do. I just hate when people ask "whats this" when they come up to the register to purchase it. I dunno though, it up to the store manager, and I'm sure when the opportunity/position opens up, he'd put me there. I'd like it because I can keep busy. I hate standing around with nothing to do. It really agrivates me....I mean, i was even asking to push buggies for a little while, but thats also since we had 5 call-ins on the front-end.

A businessman flew to Vegas for the weekend to gamble. He lost the shirt off his back, and had nothing left but a quarter and the second half of his round-trip ticket -- If he could just get to the airport he could get himself home.

So he went out to the front of the casino where there was a cab waiting. He got in and explained his situation to the cabbie. He promised to send the driver money from home, he offered him his credit card numbers, his drivers license number, his address, etc. but to no avail.

The cabbie said, "If you don't have ... fifteen dollars, get the hell out of my cab!" So the businessman was forced to hitch-hike to the airport and was barely in time to catch his flight.

One year later the businessman, having worked long and hard to regain his financial success, returned to Vegas and this time he won big. Feeling pretty good about himself, he went out to the front of the casino to get a cab ride back to the airport. Well who should he see out there, at the end of a long line of cabs, but his old buddy who had refused to give him a ride when he was down on his luck. The businessman thought for a moment about how he could make the guy pay for his lack of charity, and he hit on a plan.

The businessman got in the first cab in the line, "How much for a ride to the airport," he asked? "Fifteen bucks," came the reply. "And how much for you to give me oral sex on the way?"

"What?!!! Get the hell out of my cab."

The businessman got into the back of each cab in the long line and asked the same questions, with the same result. When he got to his old friend at the back of the line, he got in and asked "How much for a ride to the airport?" The cabbie replied "fifteen bucks."

The businessman said "OK" and off they went.

Then, as they drove slowly past the long line of cabs the businessman gave a big smile and thumbs up sign to each driver.

I got a class titled Modern Social Problems. Research Paper due 4/20 topic given to me by prof was environmental problems. Too me that was too broad so i narrowed it to Kudzu: A Southern Environmental Nightmare

I need 8 sources and 3-5 pages. This paper gets put on shelf till April 6 because i have a 7 page paper due April 5th in English and that one will make break me lol. That one is turning out to be fun because the professor does not like my topic lol. Thesis reads as follows: The South would have won the war had Lt. General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson not been killed at Chancellorsville in May 1863 by his own men. Problem occured so far is the prof does not want .com's even though every .com presented to her has been an online civil war magazine article. She keeps referring me to our schools online library databases and i keep telling her they havent really discusssed this from 1990-2006. I got a book sitting here around 930 pages about him. Plan of attack on this is talk about tactics, Gettysburg mistakes made without him their, some quotes from famous 20th century generals and go into conclusion. I have to argue on this one and the other one is argue or inform

Then 3rd one is psychology and i have no specs on that lol.

What sucks also is she has given us the plagerism speech and what that equates to is the big talk everyone should have gotten about sex. We have so many guidelines to follow on paraphrasing citing etx its not funny not to mention we have to surrender our paper to online tutor and plagerism checkers.

You will have to defend against the opinion that the main contributors to Gettysburg defeat were JEB Stuart's grandstanding in Maryland instead of being in Pennsylvania, and Lee's misjudging the advisability of going around the right flank of the Union and getting between the Union army and Washington DC, as Longstreet recommended he do.

Shhh, Don't spread the word too far Shawn! Then everyone will want my job :lol2:

There's a good chance that I'll have to drive a very attractive woman around in the Jag that we have for a while today.

She's intrested in buying it, but she's in a wheel chair. Since it isn't equipt with the controls yet she can't drive it herself.

This would mean that if she buys it I'll have to offer to install the controls for her for free. (Did I mention that she's very attractive and around my age)
If this happens I'll probably do a how to on the subject.

I know that there aren't too many people that need the controls installed, but it's a very important subject to the people that do.

If they can't run they can't hide :evillol:

I've got a date on sunday with a very attractive 41 year old teacher, so I'm hoping that it works out with her. This one has working legs and arms as well.
I like it when a woman has both looks and brains.

I still like eye candy though, even if they're in a wheel chair. I went out with a woman for 3 years that was stuck in a wheel chair 1/2 the time, and in the hospital the other 1/2 the time waiting for a heart transplant.

Or to be a little more accurate to have a heart planted in her.

I see her once a year on haloween flying around the moon on her broom.
She's also the only woman that I've gone out with that I honestly can't call a nice person.

Yeh and i want to go with how Pickett decided to charge instead of flanking as Jackson would have done. Im waiting approval on my links.

No mystery there. Pickett was ordered to charge, where, when, and how by Longstreet. Only Lee could have ordered a flanking maneuver around the right flank. Lee was too proud to abandon the field of battle to the Union in order to flank it for a possible future advantage in position.

Picket probably would have had to do the same thing even if Jackson were there. The presence of Jackson would have been felt in the fighting the first day when his corps was engaged. Jackson may have done things differently than Ewell, but that is speculation. That was a confusing day, particularly without the cavalry to reconoiter the enemy strength and position.

Longstreet tried to talk Lee into a flanking maneuver, but Lee felt the Union army was weakest in the center. Even though it was behind a stone wall and flanking the advance from Culp's hill and the round tops with excellent cannon brigades. Spam in a can. He refused to recognize the similarity to the Fredricksburg battle the previous year.

I've never studied on the US civil war, but what do you think that the States would be like today if the other side had won?

Of course there's no posible way to find out, but it might be an intresting subject.

Brian R.
03-17-2006, 06:26 PM
That would be a more interesting topic than the effect of Jackson's loss to the South. No matter what the result of Gettysburg, the South was doomed. They had far too little people and factories for making war. Also, the concept of State's rights kept them from agreeing on arming the military effectively. The individual states (in many cases) felt their remaining militia was best kept for self-protection rather than given to Lee to fight the Union in Virginia.

s10blazerman4x4
03-17-2006, 08:40 PM
I agree with ya Brian. Anybody ever been to the Fredericksburg Area? That is some hallow ground. I was down last Easter and we were at the building jackson died in and it was 910 and whats wierd was they have the bed the clock and other stuff that was actually their when he died.Well after he got done saying Jackson's last words the clock went off, kinda like his spirit was in the room.

I also think to Brian even though I would have fought in the South that it was doomed. There was really no way they could beat the North just due to the industrial might of the north compared to the agricultural south. They could have negotiated an end to the war had they been able to get a grand victory such as what Lee was after at Gettysburg. Another thing is even if there were 2 countries i think that over time they probally would have gotten back together.
