I know how you feel. I just rid of my dial-up, I gave it up as soon as I found they started offering DSL in my area.
Thing is.... No matter of fast it is, it's never fast enough. The best I could get with dial up was about 26k and download at 2k. I always hated that it took 15 minutes to download a 1MB file. Now I've got 1.5 Mbits/sec and get pissed that it takes a whole 5 seconds to download a 1MB file. :screwy:

Try connecting directly to a T3 at work (basically 24 T-1's I believe) straight out to the net, no firewall, no nothing to stop you and see how fast the sites come up and music is dowloaded, then home to a DSL line, basically the DSL is half the speed at home but still better then dial up.

Ok some more random rants.
Temporary fix on oil drain plug lasted me 5 months.Now its 3 quarts of oil on Tuesday 3 quarts on Thursday.Oil so expensive.
Lost chunk of finger trying to excavate heater controls from blazer.Lol.Also found out can not use Heater only controls on a truck with AC due to the fact that truck with AC uses power lines for the selector and not a cable.
V8 can not go in soon enough lol but everything has almost assembled for said motor.Need some stuff yet but im hoping for January lol.
Im off to make new thread on a site i found everyone mite like.

You da Man Dave!!!! Yes the Red Sox should not be down 2 games but the White Sox have the best picthing staff and the best record in Baseball. They are a great team with a great manager, Ozzie is just in his second year and wow does he have them perfect! Well if the Sox lose I always have hockey, but I will keep the faith. I did last year and they won, I never gave up. Won $500 cause I bet a friend the sox would come back from 3 games down, and he is a Yankees fan. He had no problem paying me but it hurt him knowing what he was paying me for. And once again, thanks to Dave!:grinyes:

Hey..Im thinking of buying a used chevy blazer. Ive been too alot of sites on the internet. Iv'e gone to auto trader and noticed that there are alot of Blazers at low prices. But the only draw back is that they have high mileage. Form 90,000 to 125,00. I dont know alot about the vortex engine. So how does it stand up to high miles and i it reliable. Im open to suggestions and help. I'm getting ready to leave Iraq in 25 days and am thinking about getting a used Blazer.

100,000 miles is just being broke in on these 4.3 V6 engines. They can get up to 300,000 if they are maintained properly...Make sure the previous owner took reasonable care of it, Regular (OIL CHANGES) is the main thing and you should be fine. Good luck.

Hey!!! I am not fat! I am big boned! Beef Cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha well I bought it for my playstation 2 for my step daughters and oh my god!!! 1: they love it! 2: There mother loves it! 3: This is one hell of a work out, I know it is a monday night but after a few beers this is actually a lot of fun! And yes I am dripping sweat from this! I used to think the people who waited in line for hours to do this were insane! But I was wrong! But listen to this, if you have a girlfriend, or a wife, or just a friend, who is willing to do this, and she is a little top heavy (HEHEHEHEHEHEH) This is a lot of fun to participate in! My first post in the Blazer forums. I used to own a 1989 S-10 Blazer red in color and no rust what-so-ever. I had this two years ago. It had 105k miles on it. I did get rid of it and now a owner of a 2000 Cavalier. I was just looking around reading the off topic posts and checking out the websites. I will now come to the Blazer forums more often now.
