I'm sorry that I have to tell you guys this, but I gave BlazerLT a 2 week vacation, partially because he wouldn't get out of my face in PMs (even after repeated warnings), and partially because he refused to behave respectfully online in general.
I am telling you this because I don't want anyone to think he is permanently banned at this point since the label under his name doesn't specify that the ban is only temporary. I sincerely wish he can control his aggressive behavior in the future and continue to be a productive member of this community.

Ok i had tried to post here last night but site went crazy looney.
Anywho i had a problem with a rad hose and what not. I go buy 3 hoses this morning goto mechanic and i get the following "TRUCK IS FINISHED I DROVE THE F***** OUT LAST NIGHT"LOL Shawn fricking estactic right now lol. If only Pa told me where im going for this cheap exhaust i could get it towed their now.But anywho when i get it back from exhaust he is gonna take my rig for a day for some wrapping up things. He has to tune the motor, wrap the plug wires at least on the passenger side in wire loom because even with the separtors there getting major heat, fix the heater controls in the truck<basically going to try and put in the non-Ac ones> and a rear view mirror, and an inspection sticker. Now the big question i guess you guys want is well how much did this take to do or what not?
Well i haven't looked or totaled the parts cost yet but last time with everything it was around 13-1500 bucks. He lost track of hours on the truck but we agreed on 20 hours labor for the motor and tranny. Basically that is gonna be around 900 bucks at 45/hour. Plus misc parts he had to buy.Fittings, vac hoses, and other doo dads lol. Then exhaust don't know what this is going to cost me but right now im looking at a Y-Pipe mainly because i have the mufflers and cats. I say that plurally because he said he might slap duals on even though it might be a pain. The other thing mechanic is gonna do for me is put some bulbs behind the cluster.<Thanks Rlith> for the info on that. So im probally looking at 1K from him 250 from exhaust or so. 1250 i got 500 so i owe PA around 750 lol but he doesn't mind because he knows ill pay him back asap on this with tax time coming up and what not. When i get it back or go down tonite to pay my engine labor bill ill try to get some pics up for you guys. I know alot of yous would say its not worth it in a truck that looks like crap and i dont care. It is my truck and the only way its leaving me is when it goes to the big scrapyard in the sky even then its gonna get parked behind the house to rust.Lol so happy

You people using FireFox, such as myself, there is a spell check plugin called "spellbound". It works in most "text" fields (such spots where you type in your message. When installed, you simply right-click and you can check spelling. I find it a great feature, since it works on all websites where you simply type messages.

I think it has something to do with Norton. When i had it disabled yesterday i had no problem with this giving me that page. Now with it enabled it does it. So i think im gonna disable it for this site or tinker with AF's security settings in the firewall and see what it does.

SILLY JOKE...
A magician worked on a cruise ship.
The audience was different each week so the magician did the same tricks
over and over again.
There was only one problem: The captain's parrot saw the shows each week
and began to understand how the magician did every trick.
Once he understood, he started shouting in the middle of the show, "Look,
it's not the same hat!" or, "Look, he's hiding the flowers under the table!"
or "Hey, why are all the cards the ace of spades?"
The magician was furious but couldn't do anything. It was, after all, the
captain's parrot.
Then one stormy night on the Pacific, the ship unfortunately sank, drowning
almost all who were on board.
The magician luckily found himself on a piece of wood floating in the middle
of the sea, as fate would have it ... with the parrot. They stared at each
other with hatred, but did not utter a word.
This went on for a day... and then 2 days ... and then 3 days ...
Finally on the 4th day, the parrot could not hold back any longer and said
...... "OK, I give up. Where's the f...in' ship?"

I wouldn't be suprised if 2 out of 3 recomend getting rid of Norton, and running AVG free.
With a Zone alarm free firewall.

Well see on the old computer we never had a problem with norton but as soon as i switched to mcafee because comcast said that was so good and it was free that was to strict and you could not tweak it enough. Then i had AVG avast on that and it keeps most stuff out but i prefer the norton pop up and banner removal part of it. IE pop up blocker isnt that impressive too me. I guess since i was with Norton for so long it grew on me. I run it on the new one my computer with out incident.
Spybot is great but i wish that it was faster. There has to be a way to go through over 30000 tracks faster plus with that you can manipulate other things.
I got cleanmypc for the registry cleaner. That works wonders and speeds it up.
The other thing i like about Norton is the virus deletion. With avast you have to tell it to delete and it sets off a warning siren whereas 99 percent of the time with Norton it just does its thing and if it doesnt i can locate and destroy.
Lol i dont know how we got off on a tangent lol im still trying to find out why it creates those pages but when i do i will share info.
When is the new operation system coming out for Windows. I read about it recently and can't recall.

Other than that it appears this and the googlesyndication link above go hand in hand. Can't figure out how to fix it at the moment. Im following the link and running some cleaners to see if i got anything but at the moment no spyware, or any installed program that shouldnt be there.

AVG and Avast are two different programs. Both are recommended by most professionals. I've been helping people remove infections from their computers for a while now, and have experimented with several antivirus programs. Personally, I prefer and use AVG antivirus, and Zonealarm firewall.
Norton is not "pure junk". It is a good program, and does provide adequate protection. The reason that it has lost popularity among the malware experts is because it is a resource hog. There are many programs now that can offer competitive protection, and aren't as "bloated".

Men Are Just Happier People
What do you expect from such simple creatures?
Your last name stays put.
The garage is all yours.
Wedding plans take care of themselves.
Chocolate is just another snack.
You can be President.
You can never be pregnant.
You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park.
You can wear NO shirt to a water park.
Car mechanics tell you the truth.
The world is your urinal.
You never have to drive to another gas station
restroom because this one is just too icky.
You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn
a nut on a bolt.
Same work, more pay.
Wrinkles add character.
Wedding dress $5000. Tux rental-$100.
People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them.
The occasional well-rendered belch is practically expected.
New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet.
One mood all the time.
Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat.
You know stuff about tanks.
A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase.
You can open all your own jars.
You get extra credit for the slightest act of
thoughtfulness.
If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still
be your friend.
Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack.
Three pairs of shoes are more than enough.
You almost never have strap problems in public.
You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes.
Everything on your face stays its original color.
The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades.
You only have to shave your face and neck.
You can play with toys all your life.
Your belly usually hides your big hips.
One wallet and one pair of shoes one color for all
seasons.
You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look.
You can "do" your nails with a pocket knife.
You have freedom of choice concerning growing a
mustache.
You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on
December 24 in 25 minutes.
No wonder men are happier....

I got a question. Dad calls me last night and i go down to look at the old hunk of junk computer. It apparently crashed and wiped the harddrive. This was about the 3rd time that its been ground zero but first time on its own. Anyone know why it would remember avast and other certain programs and have certain picture files that were in a shared folder but nothing else? I was thinking motherboard for awhile now because it blacks out then restarts once in awhile but this has me puzzled.

Just a guess that it's windows 98.
That's one of the glitches in that OS.

Am I the only one that got this PM?
I'm just wondering if the guy is real, it's very unlikely that he got my name off the Nissan board, and he just joined AF today. (0 posts as well)
I need help
Hello,
I have a friend in the Ukraine. And he is trying to find a part for his car. I will be visiting that country soon. And I promised that I would buy the part and take it with me on my trip. But I know absolutely nothing about automobiles (I don't even have a driver's license). And it doesn't help the neither he nor his son speak English very well. Here is the email his son sent me about the part:
"nissan Altima 1993 year (benzine)(engine capacity 2.4litre)
serial number (body) 1N4BV31F5HC104466
it is necessary to buy:
joint assy-outer
(!!saaft or shaft!!) assy-front (!!prive or prize!!) R.H.(right)"
I haven't a clue what he is talking about. Could you please help me to make some sense of this. What car part is he asking me to buy?
Howard
I made the sugestion that he gets his friend to find out what the part numbers is from Nissan Ukraine

If Norton treats you good, then just stick with it.
They offer a fair amount of customer support, and although it bogs your computer down it can't be as bad as spyware.
You should still be able to run Spybot, and Ad-aware with Norton.
You might have to run them in Safe mode.

It sounds to me like the part is a RH outer half-shaft.

I was thinking cv shaft, and possibly a ball joint, but i'd sure hate to see anyone travel to the Ukraine with the wrong part.
I gave him Nissan's Ukraine web address, and said that they would probably have some contact info there. He needs the part number to be sure.
I believe that dealers part's numbers are universal.
I just don't know how he got my name, and was wondering if he just PM'd everyone.
I wouldn't have been suprised if that request came from my personal web space though.

i was thinking scam but then reading it, it sounds like a half shaft or maby a tie rod end, i was expecting to see him ask you to buy it for him, or ask you to get it and he can pick it up at your house type thing

I tried to run his VIN number in FAST here at work and it doesnt come up. I am sure he's looking for the complete CV shaft. Those are mega bucks thoughs most everyone buys them aftermarket rather than from us.

Aftermarket never last as long, so they're only getting what they pay for.
I've seen several factory cv joints with 200,000 or more miles, and your lucky to get 100,000 out of those aftermarket.

Yeah I hate to see anyone put aftermarket parts on their cars, but most people won't spend the money for the OE stuff.
For grins I looked up the shaft even though there were 3 different numbers the price was $498.00 for the shaft.

depends on where you get it, and what part it is.
for example, i happen to know that the cylinder heads for a 90 ford ranger 4.0 aftermarket part is better than OE part. sometimes there is more than one choice for aftermarket, usually the cheaper the part, lower the quality, faster it will break again.
