Well I spoke with the village administrator this morning, and he told me that it's in the hands of the building inspector.

Of course when I called the building inspector we had a small chat and he said that he's ok with everything if I can get the village to agree to my terms.

So I called the administrator again and told him this. He is calling a council meeting on the matter. It's bought us at least 10 days, and the matter is hopefully over with.

We've got most of the local residents on our side, and will win in the long run.

Thanks for all the sugestions

Good luck. I hope it all works out.

If it's all too and from the same place your best to make a packing crate out of OSB board. Wrap the glass tightly in cardboard and never lay it down.

Make sure that you put a Fragile sign and a big This way Up sigh on it.

If they are all going to and from different locations ask a body shop for the boxes that they get theirs in. You might have to wait a few days but they should get you some pretty quickly.
They have to throw them out all the time.

OBP I hope that the situation is truly resolved. I can imagine that the stress is pretty rough. I am glad to hear that yo uat least have some breathing room.

The stress is unbelievable.

There are some days when I wake up in as much pain as I did a week after having broken my ribs and back.

When I saw the chiropractor yesterday he told me that this is only natural with the amount of crap that I'm going through.

A bottle of perscription pain killers usually lasts me 4 months, and a double sized bottle only lasted me 1 month this time.
I don't like taking them since they mess my system up.

I sure wouldn't wish it on anyone.

ummm, the apple boxes you threw away yesterday won't work. I'd go with OBP though and go to a bodyshop to see if they have some boxes. Put fragile and ^UP all over the box, then they can't say I didn't see it. HOW??? its on the box like 50 times.

They didn't like the idea of nails sticking straight up, the workers 18' in the air on a slippery building without any safety harness, plus the village didn't file the proper papers dictating responsibility in case of an accident.

They were really responding to my complaint, and shut the site down over the phone without coming out.
Telling them that I had pic's of some of the boards with nails sticking up on the internet may have helped their decision.

I'm looking forward to going back to work next week. It'll almost be a holiday.
I'm really happy that Ted my boss left me take 2 weeks personal time off after just 1 week at work.

well, still searching for a job. its amazing how many places want someone with a bachelors degree minimum. Its really getting frusrtating. I just want to find something that pays me about the same or more, and that I can have fun at, while learning new things. Its difficult since I just have a HS diploma. I had a pretty good hit, but they seemed a bit disappointed upon finding out they're located about 2 cities over.

Hey Mike, have you thought about looking into a job opportunity with your State or Local Government? The pay may not be the best at the beginning, but generally they have great bennies, and lots of room for advancement. Additionally, most places will pay for you to go back to school - if you are interested in getting a degree or certificate - after you finish out your probational period (usually 6 mos)?

Lol yeh and the orange boxes dont work either.

In a sense im glad BlazerLt is back on the board. I know we havent ever seen much eye to eye but his knowledge is appreciated on here.

I hate not getting an email from this thread lol.

Lol i got a test drive in a Geo Tracker for tommorow.Reason being its a suzuki sidekick or whatever plus the 95Hp = 28 mpg which would be great to have in a 4x4 with going back and forth to school over 170 miles a week.

Oh and what i can only think is bad for them they are conveniently located like a minute from I81 so i would want to see how a 3speed auto handles at top speed on the big highway.Im so evil.

Blazerman, My Bro bought a 2000 or '01 Chevy Tracker 4x4 new and sold it to my Mom last year. If I didn't have my little boat to pull I GUARANTEE that is what I would be driving. It is a great little machine. My Bro bought a new V-6 model when he sold the 4 banger, he says it would pull the boat. Mom's is an OD auto and it cruises the State Road I run to and from work at 70 to 80 MPH smooth as silk. Watch them Deer though.

s10blazerman4x4
03-03-2006, 02:27 AM
From what i found reading the 4 cylinder will pull something upto a 1000lbs. So i guess a canoe. I cant recall Torque numbers i know they were rite around the Hp, i wanna say high to mid 80s. I just am not sure about a 3 speed auto on interstate, i would think it would almost need another gear or the noise would be something i dont know. I did find lots of cheap performance type stuff lol. And the hardtop version is cheaper on insurance than the convertible one but the hardtop does come off.

Just a thought. After the company I was with declared bankruptcy 3 1/2 years ago :banghead:, I went with the State. 50% pay cut, but I get four weeks a year of vacation 3 weeks of sick, 6 "personal" days and the insurance is good.
And I'm moving up and am at about 75% of my prior salary, they do recognize capable people. :2cents:

Has anyone found a cartop boat loader for a S10 Blazer?
I just extended my roof rack out with 2 planks, and it just isn't really working out the way that I had planned. Plus when I'm tired there's no way that I could load my little boat.

On the plus side it looks pretty good. I'll take some pic's before I take it down.

I prefer towing a trailer, but the ferry costs double then.

Thanks Blazerman, I'd like to rent the pole style once since it's less expensive and see if it'll work out. I don't really think that I'll be able to use it though when my back gets too sore.

I was told about this company on a fishing forum
http://www.loadmyboat.com/
Since they're local they might be able to customize one for me.

I've found several automatic loaders for longer SUV's, and boats, just not for my ride.

I really have to wash my ride after tomorrows road trip, but here's the pic's with my boat on
http://mypage.uniserve.ca/~kvsbt/scrap/DSC01352.JPG
http://mypage.uniserve.ca/~kvsbt/scrap/DSC01351.JPG

I like the looks and it's just about the perfect sized boat for the Blazer, so it should look good when I get the proper loader (along with the 3' body lift and 31" tires planned for the next month or so)

On a side note, I've done all that I can at my mom's and will be driving back home tomorrow, and going back to work monday.
It sounds like I've lost 5 sales this week alone. :crying:
That would have paid for the bodylift and the tires :crying:

They bought the cars from the boss, but if I was there he would have given me all the customers since he wants to get out of that area and just into the buying. He still makes his 75% which makes him happy

Well My Blazer is sort of for sale.

I spoke with the boss today, and I'm starting to park it in the lot to see what sort of attention it draws.

I haven't stuck a dollar figure on it, but if someone is willing to make a good offer they'll own a nice reliable first gen s dime Blazer.

I don't know what I'll get if it sells, or how much money I even want for it.
The 1 thing that I do know is I'm foolish if I get another project until both my rods are finished.

It must be 4x4 and not a Toyota, other than that I'm not fussy. It can even be ugly since it'll mostly be used for the winter and fishing trips.

I really like Jeeps, but understand that they are a high maintance vehicle, which I should avoid.

The boss told me that he can get me whatever I choose at wholesale prices, and still make top dollar for my rig. I guess that it's a benifit in the car world
