There is a little lip that the k-member would have to slide over in the cement.
Hoping to have the motor tucked under the car Saturday. Time will tell though.

This weekend is a 3 day weekend for me. Friday is supposed to be 70 and so is Saturday with a chance of showers.

I wouldn't waste Mobil 1 pumping up lifters. :lol:
The cheapest oil I could find pumped up the lifters and will also break in the motor. Well....at least the first 30 minutes of it running.
Not sure what dinner is tonight though. :lol:

you can't break in a motor on synthetic oil... it lubricates so well the motor won't break in....

I have the money for Mobil 1 or the like.
Just don't want to break in a motor using synthetics. Rings won't seat.
4,000 miles and it will see Royal Purple/Mobil 1/Redline.
Break-in will consist of the following....
30 minutes at idle on cheap oil.
100 miles of driving on new cheap oil. (nothing over 2500 RPM's)
500 miles of driving on not so cheap dyno oil. (nothing over 4,000 RPM's)
3,000 miles of driving on not so cheap dyno oil. (LET HER RIP!!!)
I have the money for Mobil 1 or the like.

In normal driving I wasn't over 2,000 RPM's before. Stayed with traffic easily shifting at 1800. :smokin:
4,000 shouldn't be a problem either. That is still faster than most cars on the road. :lol:

3k is one of the reasons why L(T-S)1s get better gas mileage.... it only takes 2k for average shifts in my car ... less revolutions = less gas... long live the L(T-S)1 - M6:icon16:

Did I forget to mention it had a Cat diesel engine in it...
Oh yea, thats our semi, my bad...
But the fastest vehicle i've driven was a 98 LS1 T/A with exhaust...other than that, basically nothing.

lol....most people arent attracted to shiny stuff unless they are a little bit slow or 4 years old... i dont think the engine should be all shiny...i agree with taking care of the body tho...someone who knows about cars will be just as impressed with his engine as they would be if it was shiny
