i heard they was diffrent, the monte carlo tranny wont bolt up to a camaro engine, atleast i dont think it will even if its sideways mounted.. im not positive need some kind of feedback on this, any else wanna comment on this?

EDIT: just check my thread in the monte section and it was replyed to, the dude said i would be able to use the camaro block as the only diffrences between the 2 was the intake and something else that he couldnt rember but claims it wasnt major.

but i have heard from other places that it wasnt possible.

Motor is sealed. Rear cover and main seal got put on today.
Supposed to be nice enough to be out there for a good couple hours tomorrow. Goal is to have the tranny back on the motor and have the motor on the k-member under the car tomorrow.
IF that works out....start-up over Thanksgiving weekend as long as I can get a base tune on it.

for the block im looking for junk yards will charge me a ton for the block, specially when they find out it came from a 02 monte, thats even if they have any 02 monte's... lol but i donno about going to the junk yard for a block, what if its cracked? i donno if i will beable to find the crack and then i will spend a ton of cash on trash.

PS i have been driving for just over 2 months have hit 3 / 4 curbs (none of the others was like the first) ran 1 or 2 red lights and half a dozen stop signs or more. NONE OF IT ON PURPOSE. the shit just pops out of no where.

i have only been pulled over once, for reckless driving, in a parking lot. got off with a verbal warning..

im gonna get nailed for speeding sooner or later, im always doing 55 in a 35 and 65 in a 55 on the way to and from work.

EDIT: i almost ran over a cop the other day, he poped out from behind a big as suv i stoped to let him cross but he was just standing there so i decided to go and he decided to cross so i went to hit the break and hit the gas a break at the same time.

Rally most yards should have warrantees with their engines... and I know I can get a complete camaro 3.8 for 300-500 so i dont see why yours would be much more.

lol, i drive a cavalier, the red light was hidden behind a tree, by the time i relized there was a light there and that it was red my front end was already over the stop line.

half the stop signs where at night when i was looking for places and i ended up rolling trought them, it still counts as running it even if you stop in the middle of the intersection.

and 2 of them well once it was raining so hard i could barely see out the window and some guy was stopped at the intersection so i thought he had a stop sign so i just kept going and as i was going trought the intersection he started going and i was like wdf asshole, and when i looked out the back window i seen a stop sight i was like aww f**k.

and then there was this other one i plain out just didnt see it even tho it was right in front of my face and, i only relized it when i almost got broad sided by a big ass suv.

oh and by the way there is only 2 yards around here and they arent even all that close and i dont think they will have any 2002 monte carlo ss's, they dont even have any 96 cavs, the one yard has a 95 but thats it.

BTW: i do only use my right foot for going and stopping, but when i hit the gas and he steped out in front of me then i paniced and the way i hit the break with my foot i nailed the gas as well

the red light i dont even know why there is one there, its a t section and its like 1 lane into a dead end which is 4 lanes 2 in each direction and i was along side the curb and no one was around.

the suv thing, if i would have seen that stop sign and stoped i might have acctually gotten broad sided as it goes up hill and a round a slight curve with a big ass building in the way, i would have thought nothing was coming and went slowly just incase and i would have ended up sitting in the passenger seat in a car that got wraped around a big ass suv.
