i was in the cav section posting, and some guy asked about the 2.2L to a 2.4L swap, now if hes talking about the 2.4L that came in the cav it should be the same damn engine and shouldnt really require anything excpt maybe the new ecu, this i went on to say that the swap wouldnt really be worth it for the lil bit of hp gain and the .2L gain

this dude "Mod'd_Cav" came in and told me wrong... you need all this happy shit to do the swap. then he went on to show me how smart he was by saying that .2L costs more? thinking it will cost more to run or something and tells me that 2.2 2.4 3.1 3.4 3.8 5.0 5.8 only means the fuel/air mixture for combustion.... i read that and almost pissed my pants. i couldnt believe how stupid he was

granted i did say it should be pretty much a direct swap (i didnt say anything about ecu because i forgot) but i still believe im more right then anything in his post, let me know if you want a direct link to the thread.

yep its pretty simple, we swapped a (forgot engine size) 4 cyl out of a grand am into my ex's cavy when she blew it up..........i'd vote for catwoman too....rambo is totally kick ass and a killing machine but i'd give in and let her have her way with me and being more awesome than rambo myself im sure he'd give in too lol

Well some people in there from what I just read have some facts mixed up but I do agree with the fact that .2 liters isn't always a advantage worth going threw the expense of the swap but that really wasn't the question. I use to post in the diagnostic section in there alot when those guys requested another mod for in there and there are a few members that I remember knew some shit and I also know from in here that there are a few members that I need to be corrected on some facts, so to each there own.. As long as we all learn something , so be it. I would share the knowledge in there if you don't think they have it.

You can't run Blizzak's all year round. I heard above 50 the rubber starts wearing really fast. I have Goodyear Assurances (I think... new last year) and my car is really good in the snow. I have sand in the back of course .... I have been in 3 blizzards and no ditch for me

nah dont worry about it, this guy seems to think that you cna make your car faster just by throwing money at it, if your gonna go trough all the f-ing trouble to put a 2.4L (he said some shit about it costing like 5g's) lol, you can get the monte carlo engine 3.8 for less then that and it has more potential then any 2.4l, i just donno wdf this guy is thinking, hes trying to justify the cost of it by trying to say its capeable of 400hp, what ever that 2.4l can do the 2.2l can do. they are still 4 bangers... i just which ppl would stop and think for a quick second before they speak, not everyone just the really really bad ones..
