I would say you could probably get a fairly nice LS1 Z-28 or Formula for what I have spent on mods this year.

Okay, lets try this again. If you have Windows, then most likely you are using Internet Explorer. On the toolbar of Internet explorer, you right click and make sure that the toolbar "Address Bar" is checked off and showing.
In your last post, in the right upper corner it shows (Post #5091 (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=3503380&postcount=5091))
right click it and choose open up in new window.
A new window opens up and in the Address bar it should show the posts web link. which should be this.
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=3503380&postcount=5091
Now change the last number to any number you wish, lets say 10000.
It should now look like this...
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=3503380&postcount=10000
Hit the Go button to the right of the line or just press your enter key.
The post should now show as Post # 10000.
If it still doesn't work, then there is no hope for you. :p

I actually just don't spend much money on anything but the car and my bills. Which have gathered up nicely throughout this project. :lol:
I work for a school district. Pay isn't great, but it doesn't suck.
I just have to budget to fit in car parts.

gl with the surgery....it'll all be worth it when you get the pain pills lol....i miss that about my shoulder surgery i had when i wrecked my RS......haha i wish i had a hot nurse, i got all the scary ones that no one else wanted!!!

Read back a couple of pages.. he's going in for foot surgery for having a weird toe. Im sure right now he's past the operation.

Well...this sucks. Of course, yet another snag.
Head bolts are for an LS1 but NOT for a 2004 LQ9. They are too long. They bottom out LONG before they torque the heads down.
Good news...I was able to check the timing. That is good. Spun the motor over on cylinder 1 with the head partially torque'd down using the 4 shorter bolts I do have. Installed the pushrods and rocker arms and slowly turned the motor over. No stoppage. Yey!!
Heading to Checker now to pick up a tool I need to install the oil galley plugs. Should have the oil pan and front/rear covers on today at least.
Looks like I might be needing ARP head studs though. Damn it.

well apparently there was a burr on the one of the ring ends which took some material off of the inside of the ring compressor and dragged it all the way down the cylinder wall.
