Jeez XI, how may cars do you have? One for everyday of the week! Are you gonna restore that olds, or scrapping it? It looked to be in decent shape, probably needs a lot of work though. I need more time for a projects like that. hell i haven't done anythign with my 88 that i've been wanting to.
I have my eyes on a car right now... I probably won't get it but it's nice to fantasize. I saw a Fiero at this VW auto repair place. It looks in good shape and i think it's a GT so it may have the turbo engine it, and if not pull the motor and put something a little more beefier in it. He's had some nice cars there that he sold such as a triumph and a 65 mustang, various VW's. So for now I'll look from the road when i pass by.

I wished I had a different one to drive everyday. The old bodys not bad for a 66' that was driven daily in the city and never garaged :(
The only thing wrong is the rear traling are busted loose from the frame mount, Frames history in the rear with rust!
The last time the engine was started was 3-4 yrs ago, it would probly fire up with a battery and some fuel. I'm jsut junking the car for scrap, the motor will get a complete rebuild and then I'll decide what to stick it in. Maybe a 65-66 Nova
I couldnt imagine how that 425 would perform in a small car.... ........ picking myself outta the ditch probly
Its good to look a dream Paul. Thats what got me started, about 23-24 yrs ago :)
And really longer than that, probly was 8-10 when I was doing brakes, alternators, starters etc etc.
When you find something you really like, and hav the money and time, its a great feeling fixing up stuff.
And all you hav in it is part money not shop costs. :grinyes:

First I'm going to start on a serious note....
I wish everyone the strength and ability to remember and never forget this tragic day 5 years ago. always hold this day as a reminder of what we stand for as a nation of people and what we were founded on. NEVER let anyone tell you otherwise! BE PROUD AND MAKE SURE YOUR AMERICAN FLAGS ARE DISPLAYED. For all of those that may have lost or almost lost loved ones, stand proud and honor them, not for what happened but for who they are!

Now on to a more playful discussion. Sorry about the previous post, i had to put a tribute out there...
xi, i love to dream, that's what make me who i am. unfortunetly i have a hard time making dreams into reality, but that's a different problem. I started at a young age as well. but for me it was trying to hook up my wagon, bike, early verison of power wheels just without the power, and the BIG wheel. I loved being a kid.... nothing like terrorizing the dog in the backyard with these things... hahaha
when i get home i'll have to check out his vid clips, since i don't have flash on my computer at work. I'll have to see what he does to the hotel people... you see a lok of crazy stuff working in a hotel. Like for instance we have a approx 4foot by 3 foot battleship in our lobby right now from a sailor group this past weekend. :screwy: LOL Well i better jet, since mngt is starting to arrive.

Ok lets not talk about 9/11 ! :grinno:
thank u
I usually dream Really Really big,
that way when I fail, I hav the excuse that I bit off more than I could chew :D
Wagons to the bike... sounds dangerous and fun :D
I used to do stuff like that I guess.
Turned a Giant Tonka dump truck into a skate board because my parents thought they were to dangerous.
Dont know how many times my head bounced off the road trying to stand on that Tonka truck frame
My friend in Vegas is a crazy MF !
He'll just start talking to strangers and asking them very odd or extremly rude questions about anything and everything, not shy thats for sure!
You guys will like thier vids(skits)

What kids didn't use a tonka dump truck as a skate board. Hell i repainted mine red, broke the yellowing plastic glass windows out, and hauled ass down the sidewalk, until you hit the tinyest pebble and went flying...
at least you try to make your dreams come true, mine don't get out of the dream stage!!!

Tonka skateboards... Wow, that brings back memories. Memories of riding one down a hill, stitches, skinned knees, being yelled at for doing it in the first place. Then I got older and rode a matco creeper down a hill on a dare. Never hang around mechanics when you are drunk.

Oh ya, an update on the 425 extraction, its been delayed, again.
Had to spend a day fixing a dirt bike for my kids and now my mower has a rod knocking, so it'll wait.
I was having trouble getting the front end and body disassembled, I was trying to save it for someone and now It looks like its time for the Plasma cutter :D
Enjoy your week everyone !

Pallet jacks are so much fun to mess around with! Nothing like pallet jack races! I used to have fun with the fork lift as well, after i got my "license" to drive a forklift... WATCH OUT! HAHAHAH. I worked for office depot at the time, well they had to destroy a quite of few filling cabinets... :iceslolan I couldn't help it though they got in my way!
Watch out for those plasma cutters, don't cut off more then you want! like a finger or two. LOL
Have a good day guys

I watched someone race across a backroom on a pallet jack, tried to cut it across the loading dock to slow it down, instead it slid right out the door. He jumped off before it went out, but it was interesting listening to the explanation he gave the boss.

those pallet jackets are very expensive, and they aren't real cheap to fix when the hydraulics go, or if a wheel breaks. I would have loved to see someone go off the loading dock, that would have been a good laugh as long as it wasn't me doing it! HAHAHAH I think the worst i've done with one is damage some displays... oh did the managers get pissed when we road them though... ahhh... the good old days.

For people to use the electric jacks where I work they have to be 18, no restrictions on hand jacks. The floor machine operator only needs to be 16. Had a kid emptying the floor machine out the back door, he backed it up a little too far, right off the dock, landed upside down, batteries shorted out and it caught fire. Try explaining that one to the boss.

***Thinking about just waiting longer and buying raw S&S Headers & High-flo Cat  getting them piece by piece

Most shops can take care of the flange by either a torch or plasma cuttr :D
If they cant, they shouldnt be doin exhaust work :gay:
You can buy stuff like I did, most the big stuff any way. Unless youre rich, with credit card galore :p
but that crazy at 24% monthly :shakehead

well it happened lol, I was leaving a friend's house about to get onto the highway and *PLOP!* right after the stock flange where the first cut is made to where my straight pipe muffler sits, it just slid off and was dragging against the ground, lucky me I wasnt even going that fast so it just bounced around... pulled into a parking lot and tried to work my magic of getting it back on.... no luck, the other side was rusted shut so there was no use in moving it...
PLUS, cat + muffler + excess piping = very effin heavy VS, one of my arms and the other trying to tighten the bolts...
anyways, Im going to order up the 80 series tonight on e-bay and try my luck wasting gas untill next paycheck till I can get a mufflar job done.
to fix my road side problem, I called up a friend and told him to bring his hacksaw if worse came to worse... it did lol, my car wasnt high enough off of the ground to pull the pipe out so we saw'd that bitch and now im only on my CAT ... and its LOOOOOOUUUUDDDDD like... the whole interior of my car SHAKES, not rattles.. shakes... like an earthquake under my ass lol
I think the cause of it was:
1. not welded *shrug
2. it moved back on it's own from just exhaust leaving, had of been
other than bumps making it loose, and the above lol
do I make note to the muffler shop to make a flange because I want to replace the OEM cat-conv?

Gir that sucks that your exhaust finally let loose, but now you can have some fun setting off car alarms four blocks before you get to them, maybe a few business alarms.... LOL I guess you have to get that taken care of sooner then you thought. I need to get brakes done before I slam into someone.
This past weekend i went away to come home to find out that my mom was in a car accident. Now keep in mind she drives a 2004 fully loaded saturn vue... it's a lot of fun to drive. I find out that some ass opened his door as she was driving by into the side of her passenger side Door and she ripped his door off. his brand new VW toureag well his door wasn't able to shut any more, and my moms saturn.. well just a scratch along the doors which rubs right off, and the back quarter which is cracked and popped out but can be buffed out as well:rofl:. the worst part was the stupid cop was trying to give my mom tickets for careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident etc... and blaming her for the accident. Some cops are just plain asses, and all because he knew the other driver. Just wait until the insurance finds out they are gonna be pissed at the cop!

yea I was planning on getting stainless done, would it cost more?????
At the moment I was told by the 'only' shop in my town that can do such a task he guessed 200-ish .. Im hoping 200-or less .. really tight on money at the moment, considering gas usage b/c of no muffler =p andddd, need another 100 towards insurance/rent
lol, dont you mean GE Power as in General Electric? hahaha, I once played around in one of those places and it might as well killed me :nono:

Hey Xi, how do you see the gauges with the sun in your eyes like that? LOL. Seriously though, they came out really nice.... plus the box of candy in the useless side compartment, caught my attention... ( im so hungry right now... since white castle didn't fill me up)
Gir, definetly help out a fellow g/a owner! We gotta look out for each other! Stainless steal probably will cost you a little more, but will last a lot long then a regular exhaust. On the newer cars they only come with the stainless steal ( i think) , and normally it's the welds that break down first before the actual system.

$200 is a steal for your area
For the few extra bucks stainless is worth not having to mess with it for a longlong time .
Actually its PSI(Cinergy) .
When I was a kid we lived next to one of those. Lost many baseballs, footballs, and bats in thier :crying: THey make a nice humming sound too. :eek7:

:D Its not that bad, tho I dont do alot of driving in the day.
Can see how fast your going really well :grinyes:
It'll look realy nice when I get some white face gauges.
I think your hunger was decieving you.... Ok maybe you see the yello package in the garagedoor opener compartment, that would be Juicy fruit, since I quit smoking I chew lots of gum. But I'm saving thousands a year.
Thats most likly napkins from Mcd's or some other FFood joint in the door pocket.
Gotta be prepaired for those unexpected spills :shakehead
Needs new carpet anyway, what a pain that'll be

Thankx!
The knobs pull off(if you didnt know), they will need cleaned realy realy good.
The first time I painted them thier was still finger grease or something soaked into that grey rubber coating, so I had to strip them and repaint them.
I just used the Dupli color touch up paint that matched the body color, two coats.
And after that dried for about 8hrs I hit it with a few coats clearcoat.
When it gets up in the 100 degre range outside, they do still feel a little sticky tho.
But they do look kickass
I would hav liked to do All the interior with the body color, that would be awsome. :ylsuper:

soooo I got my muffler in lol .. wow
I can just about fit my hand in the O/D of this thing lol ... I think 3" is overkill after looking at the size of this monster
and like ... I was thinking of how it should be positioned... like
I think in the borla kit the inlet is outward towards the bumper and the 2 outlets come around and out... eh.. eff it gotta get a pic lol...
http://www.pfyc.com/mm5/graphics/new/ga5001.jpg
LIKE THAT!
or just flip it and have the weld be a tight left into the muffler....
personally I think the way that borla does that would make it more snug in there and easier for the hangers....

what the hell was that Grand Am GTO thing? and they used an SE to be a GTO with some crappy looking "aero" body kit added on! Some days' i'm truely amazed of the creations that they come up with and some days i'm extremely appalled :disappoin .
here's a good one for everyone. I gave the Owner to the hotel i work at a ride the other day in my G/A, not that he's truely worthy of being in my car... but had no choice. Anyways, he was holding on pretty tight to the door handle as i blasted up the highway at a nice 80+/- mph...( in a 55-65 zone, with construction :naughty: ) I could see him trying to peer over to see how fast i was going... so he tried to be slick instead and say "oh does your car tell you when to change your oil?" all cause he could see my change oil light on, and SVS light as well. So I hyped my car up over his camry that he drives... not like he probably gives a damn or if he paid any attention to me... but it was just the thrill of making him hold on to dear life that i enjoyed! hahahahh
