The cops thought I was someone else I'm quiet sure.
Thier are several blk GAs running around, thats why I done my front air dam with the yello frames, so they'd know it was my GA and not the other punks.
And they were probley bored and wanted to hav some fun. Hell I know most by first name now :lol I tow alot of vehicles too, so they are on the scene often, and I hav to be my best, ya right !!
ANd I carry spare bulbs, Just in Case.
But now with the Green GT they seem to leave me alone for now, summers getting mighty close though. And I'm getting some ideas for some good mods already :)
BTW--If you hadnt heard, PFYC has the DHPs for $99! thats a pretty good deal. Thier TBs are still chaper than RSMs.

I saw your yellow flames on your car domain, it looks good. I had mesh grill at one time that i hand painted silver with black flames, but it was too much up keep so i scrapped it. I haven't bothered with my air dam due to it getting constantly scratched. Spare bulbs are a good idea to have, i finally stopped carring them, since too much junk in sliding around in my trunk and they would end up breaking.
I haven't been on PFYC in awhile, probably since i bought my front emblem and my strut tower braces...I'll have to take a look at it later...

ya my air dam is metal so when you get up on a curb, you and anyone within a block knows you are on it!
I havnt hit it for a while, just leave the assend out in the way
I fixed my GTs front to day since it was 75!
Used the L-bracket and some 60 sec epoxy. It looks as if it'll hold, though I havnt road tested it yet. Thought I'd give the epoxy plent of time to cure all the way. I do need to get me some cheap gutter guard .
WHo cares, its cheap and easy to work with, and most likly it'll get tore out once or twice from road kills.
I hav a couple stock TBs, I'm thinking of boring out one to 64-65mm if thiers room. Dont want to get into the IAC or TPS.
If I cut the sides to thin, it will make the shaft area for the butterfly weak, and it could jam or wear fast, so then I'd hav to a do brass insert or someshit. :dunno:
Always thinking about moding something :)
Oh ya, one other thing, I found out what colour my GT is, its Mantra Green(code 204c) couldnt find it anywhere today.

dealership wants $405 or so for the SE Front of my car and $410 for the GT .... and then painting it is another story....
Fog light assembly is around $100.................. er wow
hello e-bay & junkyards..............
and I am guessing a GT Cluster Gauge wouldnt work in an SE just by switching out? was bored and was looking at nifty gt clusters

Hey Gir-_-!
Ya, I told you they werent cheap from the dealer.
Hell I bet a body shop would be less than that.
Try AndysAutoSport (http://www.andysautosport.com/product/exterior/body_kits?_v=vmd00354) for a different look.
They hav three different kits companies, which you can buy just the front parts you need. They are alot cheaper for the fancey looking ones. I like RK sport and the new Walker one by Extreme Dementions. Well I guess RK sport doesnt show the pieces seperate. :banghead:

Gir: I thought the bumpers were cheaper then that. I'll check my invoice on how much a bumper costed me for my car. Ebay and junkyards are the best! Gotta love getting parts for dirt cheap. I got a system information center for my other G/A for $1.00 on ebay, you can't beat that. I just need the pigtail and i'm set! For the gauge cluster I don't see why it shouldn't work. the only difference is the speedometer on how high it goes, SE goes to 120 Gt goes to 160. Other then that, it's completely digital on connections, so the only issue that you could encounter is the computer.
Xi: I finally went into PFYC the otehr day, now i have a list of things i want to buy... thank you very much :nono: ... hahah. I guess that means i should start finding things to sell if i want to buy!
Hopefully you guys aren't getting hit with EXTREME crazy weather. We went from 60degrees to snowing in a matter of hours... When will summer be here?!!!! Better go before i get hit by debris from the renovations that are being done in front of me.. :bricks1:

Gir, deffinantly shop around for those parts, hell you might find the bumper one place and the other do-dads somewhere else. It'll pay off in to your pocket!
grfnkl, I hav a list too from pfyc, not a big one, just some stuff I could proffit from :)
Crazy weather? where?
It was 77 last week, then by the weekend it droped and rained for days... Been pretty cold at night but the temps today are 50-60(havnt looked) its warm as hell in the sun, but soon as you hit the shade it chilly :grinsyes:
Been felling Jet lagged every since the damn time change :banghead:
I know the clocks say 6 am, but my brain knows its really 5! By the end of summer it will be 10pm and still daylight.
Most of my deliverys come from other states, so they are all f****d up. Had parts just droped off (about 2k$ worth)the other morning because he didnt know about the time change, what a moron! No wonder people get beat up

Ya its been a little slow here in GA land :)
I personally hav been busy and working harder then I'd like :(
But thats how it goes, one day I dont hav time to piss, then the next I could be sleeping i my office chair, well untill some JA wakes me
Cant really complain, the money is good !
Thinking about taking the afternoon off and going in search of MORELs(mushroom), I cant stand the damn things myself but my better half likes them.
Hoping to find some black sponges today I heard some guy will pay 40-50$ a pound for them. And 30-40$ a lb for the yello's.
Everyone keeps telling my its to early, but I hav found many in the first of April, with snow on the ground even.
Better take my walking shoes :)

I guess it wasn't me then working extra hard this past week or so. I barely have had any time to stop in to check things out. Well at least the money is good for ya XI, i cna't say the same for myself, and with rising gas prices it's making it harder with the commute and everything. Good luck mushroom huntin, some aren't all that bad, and some... no way in hell.
Quick vette update~~ The vette is doing much better now with starting, and does run, still stalls out, but now coming to the conclusion that it's a fuel injection issue. The gas isn't that bad, but the one injector doesn't seem to be putting much fuel out, plus i think the pressure was so low it's starting to build now, since the car starts on it;s own now without pumping the gas.

Last night we go about 1-1.5" of rain so I'm betting they'll be up later today, so after I get outs work I'm hitting the woods again.
Everyone Hav a great holiday weekend !!

I think you can handle it, since you did get under her and Hack off that damn resonator pipe with a hacksaw!
That takes perseverance (http://www.answers.com/perseverance&r=67) :) something most guys your age dont hav.
Haha, No way I'd use the Hacksaw, sawzall or exhaust pipe cutter
One thing after you get the stuff back from paint is make sure it's dry all the way(dont want smudges), and use some blu masking tape to protect the edges and corners from getting beat up while you are fitting it on.

What better way to learn about your car then to tear it apart and put it back together. Do it enough times you get faster at it.
I think a good word that decribes what Gir is doing is PASSION, Anyone has this will do what ever it takes, to accomplish what they want.

Oh I meant the other meaning of the word,
perseverance; A lowly virtue whereby mediocrity achieves an inglorious success. :lol2:
I have no passion, or perseverance, just determination(the deffining of a concept through its constituent elements), because I'm niether drinking nor smoking any motivations at this time......... boy a smoke would be nice...
Gir, you could always check the salvage yards for a front bumper. Probley wont find your color, but you could "pimp it out" with a different color.
Parts are much cheaper at the Yard :grinyes:
Hell they might even "Let You" take the parts off
Hows the heat down there coming along Gir ??
watch out for Bees!! (http://www.superbad.com/1/bee/bee.html).

You make a good point about pimping out the ride. Gir isn't your ride black? you could get a different color bumper and have the front painted with flames that match or even do a fade with the color across the hood and fenders.... that would look hot!

this weekend if I have some time ill check around and see if any yards have some clean parts around, tho Id prefer not having different colors on my GA lolol... id rather just have either the black plastic w/ no primer than like a orange or some crazy sand color lolol...
the heat sucks... yesterday's high was 100F .. today is 99F .. not like theres a difference...

you dont really want a different front?
that would be
Should not use a non primered one, that will suck to clean up to paint, Bugs and such!
Orange?? Hell if you'll find one of those in good shape, they are hard to come by, not many made with the burnt orange.
Wonder how many they did make?
Anyone know how to find out, let me know !!
I hav a new quest :)

Gir: your could have the front black or silver maybe even white. that would look good. But i do understand wanting everything to be uniform, it has a nice appeal as well.
the orange ones are hard to come by in good condition.
The fusion Orange Metallic ones, there are 2 versions. There's a regular and i believe a anniversary edition. For the anniversary they only made about 2,000 from what i heard, and they didn't make too many for the regular either. Just not sure on how many exactly.

Gir, I too usually miss stuff like that during the day.
I did see the 500 world of wheels in Indy last year, but it was the last day and half the Folks stuff was gone, no hot chicks, I was bummed to say the least.
grfnkl, I hav already changed both the tie rod ends.
The ones I replaced were stock POS w/no grease inserts.
But other than that my GT has been doing OK, its not my SE thats for sure.
Hav knowticed a big difference in ride/handling too, the SE bounces a lot, the GT seems firmer on the springs ride.
Both are getting around 23-25mpg, wished we could get about 25 more mpg
Hey guys I finally found a few moorels over the weekend, from what I can tell, I think we need more rain, still early in the season too. All I was finding were blacks/greys which around here comes in first, then the bigger yellow or golden moorels pop up.
That reminds me, A guy that went with me on the hunt said, "hey! wait, I though heard one pop up", his ol lady swears she can smell them. what a bunch :)
I'n runnin on.......
You guys hav a geat week!

Gas around here....
2.78-2.89+ Regular
2.99- 3.10+ Premium
We do alot of gas shopping around here. LOL. I heard something interesting about gas companies the other day. the way to drive prices down BESIDES comsume less gas is to hit it were it hurts, one company. If everyone were to stop buying Exxon/Mobile, then there profits will decline so they will drop prices to get people to buy from them. Now personally i don't have an issue with this since i don't buy exxon or mobile ever since they tend to be the highest in gas prices and my car runs like hell with bad gas mileage, so i stay FAR away from an exxon or mobile. Just some food for thought for you guys.

I dont buy Exxon/Mobile either, they are higher priced around here too.
No, everyone needs to not buy gas for a week, I guarantee prices will drop, if our government doesnt drop too  Petrol make the world go round. Quit buying from Iran too, I saw where the Iranians were saying we get Our oil from them dirt cheap, and if we keep messing with'm, they'll raise their rates. OOOOhh! I'm scarred!
One word, Ethanol ! From good ol' corn :) thats almost free :lol2:

I'll be finding out gas prices today if they dropped or not, since i need gas. I'm surprised that my area doesn't even have an ethanol station, the closest one is in western Pa. It's crazy, one would think that there would be one in this area due to it being so populated... I guess not.

Waiting for next week , TooLs new album hits the shelves tuesday I think. I could hav down loaded it, but I'd still be downloading after the albums out for real. Damn bootleggers! :boob:
grfnkl, prices droped a bit here today from what I hav heard. Not much, like $2.89 87oct and the 10¢ thing.
I picked up Amaco for $2.84 gal(89octane) last night. OUt of all the places, it was by the Highway, which is usually more expensive. Tomarrow and saturday It'll be up closer to $3 gal.
grfnkl to bad our GA's wont burn the E85, At least I dont think it will ... really :dunno: Might be gumy for the injectors/fuel pump and all the O-rings mught get dried out or something. Going to investigate this :grinyes:

Gir, check Ebay. I was looking last night and saw a bunch of cheaper ones. This one three piece was $65+24 to ship.
I emailed them and asked if they could sell the kit without a filter(already hav K&N Universal X-Stream Clamp-on ~ KNF RX-4990 3"FLG, 6"B, 5"T, 5-9/16"H). The rx 4990 is badass! They said yes they'd put some up on thier ebay store for $50+ship. I dont remember thier ID but when I go there later I'll PM you the ID or Link if you'd like.

They are BA !! More surface to draw in air. I bought a couple way back when I was needing one for the SE. I paid $120 for 2, which If i only bought 1 they were $98 :shakehead
Only recently hav I looked at a filter wrap. Finding one to match the exact shape of the cone is important. I'm going for a couple just to see, it should keep bugs and weeds(large debrie) from pluging the filter prematurly.
I hav seen the RX-4990 on the net for as low as $50 now. its worth that ! The GTs laging from the WAI already and its not even summer yet.
Heres one of the CAI i saw on ebay

well G/a headlights can be a pain... plus I must have had the touch. I finally got the headlight out. went to change the bulb, and i ended up breaking the ring that holds the bulb in. so now my bulb is duct taped in. tehn i went to put the unit back in and i can't get the one clip to go back in.... so it's only partially in... THEN my one turn signal was out so i go to change it to find out it's not out, but won't make a good connection... so if' it's not one thing it's another. After work i'll try to fix everything AGAIN! :disappoin

the "bad" touch continues... it must be the week or something. I'm now wondering if i have an electrical gremlin in my car. As of last night half of my lights in my radio are out, the ETS light is out ( for the button), The annoying clikcing noise began again from the signals, so my multifunction switch is going again, hmmm, plus all my other previous electrical problems like my rear window defogger, interior lights working when they want, random lights burning out or not working...etc
The plus side to one thing though i got a recall extention notice for my car, for the multifunction switch the other day so, that actually works to my advantage... now i just have to see if the stealershit will honor it since i had it replaced once before.
DAMN GREMLINS!

I didn't kill any gremlins yet... I found out that all the lights in the radio are LEDs.... I did somewhat figure out where my gremlin maybe hiding.... Everytime I get all my exterior lights working, something electrical starts acting up... but everything has been good since my signal stopped working again, if i smack my talilight it'll go back on and work, but then someting else will be wrong... so I'll just leave it with the horrible fast ticking. I'm used to rattles and odd noises and odd things happening especially from my 88 she's bad for all those sorts of things my 02 is just a pain in the ass for everything else... LOL
