No JBL85, According to Paonessas signature they run a 15.2 in the 1/4 meaning that a 5 speed Nissan Maxima with 190hp and 205lbs of torque could not beat the V6 Equipped Nissan Altima with an Automatic Tranny. :rolleyes:

Best times for a Stock Stang is 13.9 that I have seen or heard from real members and best time for a Maxima is 14.3. Is something wrong with this, shouldnt the mustang with like 50lbs more torque be a lot faster.

A Maxima 4th gen produces like 25lbs more torque then my QR25DE, but also consider the 4th gen auto has a greater loss of power to the wheels, but that is besides the point right.

Good cars, but test drive a Nissan Altima 2.5s 5 speed, you can feel sufficient power throughout the RPM range in first and second gear.

well for startes, which mustang? a convertible or coupe that affects weight. then let's consider that a mustang has a drive shaft running the length of the entire chassis to power the rear wheels. makes for substantial power loss.

Ok blow job, a type-r driven properly can run a 14.9 at fastest. So where is my # wrong? For the arguments sake, I am taking times that I have heard from reality, so you seem to be angered, you should probably go crash your car into a wall by now

And torque doesnt always matter now does it, how is it that an S2000 has no torque yet still is faster then a Maxima, it loses a bunch of torque going to the Rear wheels?

You are proving no points by saying torque, my motor still makes 180lbs of torque which is sufficient when geared with a 5 speed transmission.

The time lost for the lack of power in my car is made up by proper gearing, the time gained from the Torque on the Maxima is lost by sad gearing. Reason when me and my cousin started a race at 30mph, we were even, my car couldnt pull on his torque and his car couldnt pull on my gearing.

When you start from a dead stop, I can kill him off hte line, reason why is because at a lower RPM range, I.E. accleration, my car is putting much more torque to the wheels then his car, and when my clutch is slipped and traction is kept, I am taking off at a much higher rate then he is.

We have a 98 Maxima GXE with an automatic. I dont like it as good

as the 5 speed that we had, but some Maximas vary in speed. I was

driving home from Illinois last night, back in Indiana going past the

Nissan dealer where these people just pulled out in a new 4 cyl Altima.

I was hoping to get the next light with it and sure enough I did. I think

it was an automatic, but when the light turned he floored it before I did

but as soon as I did, the Maxima screamed past it like nothing.

Maybe our Maxima is the exeption, but everything Ive raced I always

I never like to put down another Nissan but whoever said that the maxima could get beat by the altima is just fucking stupid. i street-race almost everyday and i can beat any altima around in my 97 hardbody but i get ripped a new asshole by every maxima with dual pipes that i have raced. there should not even be a debate about this.

If 0-60 times in an auto Max VQ30 is 7.5 and the 5spd Altima is 9.6 or at best 8.5 who has a granny mobile?

Still 8 seconds and you have a stick and the Max does it in 7.5 and less to 60 plus we trap in the 1/4 over 92 mph there isn't a 2.5 Altima in production with or without a stick that can trap over 90 in the 1/4 without having some mods.

Be realistic there's no way you can continue to bash on a 3.0L Max auto with a lesser engined car, if a 3.0L is granny then what does that say about your 2.5 video or not?

You obviously no how to launch your car, so do I, I'm certain when I torque brake that I get a better 0-60 time then any magazine has tested.

So even you doing 0-60 in 8 isn't going to be better than an auto torque braking with more low end torque when your Altima doesn't reach its' torque peak until after the Max and you have lesser torque.
