not quite a hatchback, but it's like a sport coupe hatch, not so much a high roof, but more sleek.

Haha yeah my thoughts exactly.

This is a Japanese car, which was probably fairly plentiful in Japan - however, this North American spec version pre-dates the mass trust in Japanese cars, and I've never even seen one before. However, the North American name for it lived on until the end of the 80s, while the Japanese name for it lived on until recent years.

I'll open the bidding with a Mazda Luce.

Datsun 200SX?

Those were the clues that lead me to Datsun.

Edit: even found the pic: http://www.v6-s12.com/images/S10/77_200SX_rear.jpg

Not a Vectra, not a Maybach (:loser: j/k )

Its' origins are in the same country as the Vectra and Maybach, but it's not made in the same country, nor is the maker from that country.

Perhaps not quite so antiquated as Morgan, but close - and perhaps more old school in their dealings with customers.

This particular model of theirs was styled by an Italian design house, and, like their current models, was very expensive and exclusive.
