Mine make alil noise from a start like the exhaust is rattleing. I have 3in all the way back and in a couple spots its tight so I write off the rattle for that.

It's not a rattle, it's a sound like something breaking. We thought it had snapped the welds, it's that kind of noise from the underside of the car. There's nothing for them to be making contact with as I have looked. I dunno...I'm fed up with this car though.

Yeah, he has 600+ miles on it now.

Supposed to be pretty nice tomorrow and Saturday as well.

I know your suppose to get like 500 miles before you really get on it. But the miles are still kinda low.

I was beating the shit outta mine on a dyno at 400 miles.

Miles are fine. Although the motor will loosen up as time goes by.
He will only get faster as he gets to 3000-4000 and up miles.

Ok, I didn't really feel like creating another 2 post thread, so I'll just ask here. Need two new rear brake pads. I decided not to go slotter rotors and new calipers, so I'm just looking for brake pads. I was considering Hawks, but I don't know much about the aftermarket companies when it comes to brakes. Any suggestions or useful tips?

Just goto autozone/your local autoparts store and get the $40 brakes.. they are your rear ones after all..

pad are like tyres, if you're changing them on one side, you should change them on both. also, if one sides is wearing more than the other, maybe you're bias is off.

u'll do fine. anyone else see the awsome gm test camaro? it is in the newest gmhightechperformance mag. 99 z28 6 speed with the LS7. best time they could knock off was a 12 flat due to a bad tranny. the LS7 was stock except for 1 7/8 LT headers and a magnaflow catback.

Remember....the F-Body is at least 400-500 pounds heavier too.

The LS7 in a 3100 pound car is plain out mean.

i watched a zo6 do 2 pulls on a portable chassis dyno at the carlisle corvette show. it put down 471hp to the wheels but the sound of an LS7 at 7000rpm is just pure music.

yea man they're incredible. just think, in about 2 years the zo6 will be out done by the new vette, either called the stingray or the blue devil. supposedly will have the LS9 making 650hp in the same 3100lb body. wonder if that could be the first vette to break into the 10's stock.

The LS7 Corvette has gone 10.85. Only it was on drag radials. Everything else is 100% stock.
