I wanted to get hammered last night, I really need to soon. This has been one ROUGH month for me, and it seems to only be getting worse until February. Things need to get better because I don't know how much more of this I can handle.

got in early this morning, took all my stuff (and some of his!) and told him i'm not working for that money.

predictably, he changed his story and said "we hadn't agreed on $300/week, i said we'd discuss days off."

hmm.. $300 a week with "days off" doesn't pay the $17,000 i owe. it's ridiculous.

quit today. i find it funny how my boss put on his little act, all not bothered about me leaving. then later on i get a call from his business partner, asking me to go for an informal meeting with them to discuss me coming back. it just makes me laugh.

he's gone and offered me money i can't accept, then when i leave he tell someone else he's pissed that the only employee he wanted to keep has walked and is too proud to even say anything to me.

black, when you work as a cop or in a hospital you run into some of the scummiest people around. That can tend to make us jaded or hate our jobs from time to time. You work in a hospital you know whats its all about.

This is true... I have noticed that with the hospital and I guess now that you say it, being a cop would like dealing with the same people if not worse ones... There are some really weird people out there. Seems like all the loonies like to wonder into our hospital here. We have this one lady who comes in everyday and sits in each of the waiting rooms and steals the magazines. lol

What makes you think it will be getting better once february comes? It might just keep going down hill.

Part of it has to do with wishful hoping.
It has mainly to do with the gf. She's been stressed with moving out and getting her EMT license and stuff. And the relationship aspect from my point-of-view has been going downhill. I'm not going to get into it because no one wants to hear about it, but she'll be moved out and done with it in Feb, so that's why I say it will get better in Feb.

You know what, it gets really weird when you put that scenario into legal sense. According to the law, when you go to purchase something from a store at a listed price, you (the buyer) are offering to pay the store the amount and they are the one deciding to take the deal or not. Legally the store is not offering you the item at the price, making you the dealmaker, it's the reverse (you give the store an offer, they accept or deny). Weird huh... but then u get the places that "have to sell the item for the tagged price, even if it's a mistake" that's a bunch of bull, they can refuse to.

KaotiKCamaro5
01-30-2008, 10:40 PM
i love when we run a nationwide add and not every store in the nation has every item advertised for the entire week... had a guy bitch me out one time because he came in on a saturday night, (the end of the ad week mind you) looking for a laptop we had advertised for like 400 bucks.. obviously we didn't have any left in stock.. and he told me i had to sell him the next closest thing for that price and needed to actually drop the price to compensate for him driving an hour and wasting his time when we didn't have the item in stock.. he threatened to call our corporate office and have me fired because we didn't have the item in stock and we were "false advertising".. the guy was nuts.. was so glad to see that guy walk outta the store without buying.. he shouted out really freaking loud as he was leaving that he was going to BEST BUY... funny thing is tho, a buddy of mine works at Best Buy down the road and was also working that night.. while he didn't have to directly work with the guy, he said he blew up there too... some people...

Well, it finally happened. The tranny blew today, I lost 3rd, 4th, and part of 2nd. It was a nice day, so I decided to get it out. This is was the first time since I changed the water pump and replaced the A/C compressor. Everything was going smooth, until it wouldn't shift out of 2nd and smoke started coming from the shifter console. So, I limped it home w/ 1st and part of 2nd. Its amazing the roads and lengths you go through to stay off high traffic and high speed-limit roads.

Funny you mention it. I just listed it to see if someone will take it off my hands for the reduced price. If not, I will fix it and relist it with a higher price. I got the 'list till its sold' package, so I have awhile. What sucks is, I found a WS6 that is a really good deal, but I can't look at other cars until this one is sold.

I called 2 tranny shops and they both quoted me $1600-$2K for a rebuild. So, that's probably how much I will add onto the price if I do have to get it fixed and re-list it.

$1600-2k!?!?! Did you tell them you just want your trans rebuilt not a whole other car?

You can buy a new transmission for less than that.

Personally I'd get one from a junk yard for a couple hundred bucks.

Swapping one out with labor will cost me about the same as the rebuild. I found that I can get a tranny for about $1500 shipped. And one of the shops quoted me about $450 for the swap. So that total puts me right around the same price as a rebuild.

I would love to, but I don't know anyone who has done a tranny swap, and I don't know too much about it either. I would rather pay someone to do it right and get the damn thing off my hands than me f*ing something up. Plus, I would rather use a lift than jack stands. Plus, I don't have a trans jack, or the patience at this point.

Do you have a driveway? If so that solves the narrow problem, as for the jack stands thats no problem either. Believe it or not but the engine can be taken out with a jack, jack stands, and a can-do attitude.

Search around for the pictures when Curtis did his engine swap. His garage is probably 2 feet wider than the car is. I couldn't work that way, waaaaaaaay too cramped. Plus, when it's that tight, that wrench that gets thrown will definately stick into the wall.

I can't work that way either. I roll my car out to the driveway whenever i work on it. I'd rather work out in the sun and heat then not be able to move. Plus my girlfriend thinks its sexy when I'm all sweaty.
