Sure you don't want to trade for stepho's nut zapper? It might keep him out of trouble for a little while.....

It still boggles my mind that you get pleasure from zapping the fuck out of your nuts... :shakehead

Well, it happened. I was traveling west on SR160 and hit ice in the police car. I slid off the road and struck a tree and telephone pole. I likely totaled the car.

If anyone wants pics, PM your cell phone number and I'll send them. FYI: They're not that great, just a totaled state police car.

That must have been a sight to see. Glad you are ok. Good thing you don't have to pay for it. But the tax payers do. Sucks for them.

That's why they have insurance...

But hitting a tree isn't covered by liability.

The state pays for it out of their own pocket. They're self insured. Taxes :)

Putting off sleeping!

On a side note and random thought: I promise to post up some pictures of the GTO today. It won't be anything amazing because it's a completley stock car, but it's my car so....

2.2 Straight six
02-18-2008, 12:38 AM
you've never heard of curry? damn..

it's indian food. chicken, creamy sauce made with yoghurt, cream and spices. the one i'm having is quite mild.

Atually I was just kidding. I dont even own one anymore.

And have you ever tried it crow? It doesn't feel like being shocked at all, its not like i am holding a tesla coil next to my junk or anything. Its like one of those electric massage machines they have at chiropractors. Its quite nice actually and not painful at all (unless you want it to be lol).

2.2 Straight six

they like those durex cock ring vibrator things? odd..

those pain relief vibrators are pretty good as it goes. i only tried it on my back, mind.

Definitely not... Electricity and my body do not get along too well. I have been electricuted before and it sucks... Hence why I would not prefer to put something called a "nut zapper" anywhere near my body, let alone my nuts. lol

i only tried it on my back, mind.
Until now... Now Stepho has poked at your curiosity and your gonna try it. Don't deny it. lol :grinno:

Cuda, what did you get? i need a tool box desprately.

Stepho, sounds good. i hear aluminium is hard to weld because it doesn't change colour or something.

I don't know that much about it, or how the changing color helps a welder when welding steel. I'm far from a professional lol, but welding aluminum is tough. Heat travels really fast through aluminum (a lot faster than steel) so the hardest part is getting the aluminum to exactly the right temp. Not enough heat and it wont melt, too much heat and it will melt competely through.

If you can weld soda cans together, you can pretty much weld anything.

Stepho, sounds good. i hear aluminium is hard to weld because it doesn't change colour or something.

I just got a few small things that I needed... some new safety glasses and belt for my tool belt... the tool boxes were small 20" hand tool boxes.. and the laser transit was a johnson

Yeah, welding aluminum is just like Stepho said... hard because it transfers heat so well and in thin stuff you can burn right through it.

here is some of the welds I made today.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v430/hells_gullet/DSC00170.jpg

The one where I actually tried to join two peices of metal together is the best. Not bad for my first time I think.

looks good.

first time i treid to weld aluminium i blew a big hole in it. then let someone else do it.

Blackcrow64
02-20-2008, 07:41 AM
Looks like you've got a few pretty decent welds on there for being your first time with aluminum. How'd your penetration turn out on joining the two pieces together?

IT LIVES!!

Had to crank the GTA up and move her to get some electrical supplies from out of the garage. Woulda been nice to take it for a spin, but the 2" of ice didn't look like much supportive for traction combined with -2 air temp and -25 wind chill. :(

That is all...

awesome.

how's about some pics of the beast?

i needs to make me some monies. or at least do something to fill my time. need to get parts for my sister's car, but no-one has the parts and the main dealers' employees are too stupid to know what parts i mean.

they though i should pull the strut, disassemble it, and bring them the part i want, so they can tell me they don't have it in stock and can't get it for 6-8 weeks.

poormillionaire2
02-20-2008, 02:14 PM

If i go to the dealer I just have them pull up the breakdown picture on the computer and I point at the part and say THAT ONE.

2.2 Straight six

i did. but he was arguing with me over it only being available as part of a kit. which it's not, as i've bought parts of this "kit" individully already. and i've been quoted for the parts i want, except they weren't in stock.

I still need to pay off my credit card. I took it out of my wallet last November so I wouldn't use it and could pay it off. Yeah...didn't work. I pay of a little each month, but every month, there is more shit on it. I don't know how that works...actually I do. Used it to buy parts to fix my damn car. Life's a bitch...in soo many ways.

I hate winter weather. Wintery mix of snow, sleet, and ice. The pavement is literally a sheet of ice right now. I am not going to school today. I don't even think I can make it up the hill and out of my subdivision, but I'm not going to try. It sucks, because I have a mid-term today that I don't want to miss. I e-mailed my teachers, so hopefully we can work something out, but I don't know. Good luck to anyone else here in the Midwest who is affected by this crap.
