I hate running. Anyone who likes running needs to reconsider their priorities. I would not care if I did not run another mile for the rest of my life. In the last 19 weeks, I have ran ~200 miles. That is more than enough, haha.
I also need a second job. Anyone hiring?
do you like any form of excercise? i LOVE rowing and biking. i can do either for hours on end (and i'm not talking about stationary shit, i hate that stuff with a passion). i biked 58 km (36 miles) a few weeks ago just for the hell of it. i needed something to do so i just decided to bike to parliament. as for rowing, i hate it but i love it. whenever i'm not rowing i want to be rowing and whenever i'm rowing i want to get off the water. i don't mind doing steady state stuff (the really easy stuff, unless you haven't rowed much, then it could be hard for you) but when we're doing 500m sprint intervals, 2000m sprints, 1 minute intervals, etc. i hate it.

lol same goes for me, i love competition, and i HATE defeat unless i'm completely expected to lose. when i was in grade 9 i'd wrestle some seniors who had 40-50lbs on me just because i loved the challenge and they were some of the only guys who would wrestle me, not to mention nobody my age was a challenge (went to a boarding school so alot of rough housing went on)
i even like fighting, i'll fight a guy with 60lbs on me (not a serious fight, just a little tussle) just for the hell of it.

i used to ride a bike on a regular basis, then i got a car and the bike got less use. i still take the occasional ride on a bike trail though, just a few miles. I don't run but at work on certain days i'm walking the entire time. i do play a few sports to get exercise like golf, bowling, and racquetball. i like compitition to a certain extent.

same here, as soon as i got my license i stoped biking as much, it takes so much longer. this coming school year i'm moving out and i won't be able to afford a car and an appartment so i'm storing the car (parents are only going to pay for one of the two and i can't afford school and one of those) and using my bike, the bus, and my legs (when i'm drunk, remember kids, don't drink and bike).

I love playing sports too! My favorites are Tennis and Ping Pong. Speaking of ping pong I just picked up a second table today for $20 at a yardsale. The hurricanes of a few years back had caused some nice warpage on my old table. The only thing I don't like about the new guy is its a four piece. I don't like the four peice as much as the two, because the four makes a weird bounce if it hits the center line. The new guy is a different color though! Now I have a green table and a blue table!

i've got my grandfather's old pin pong table, still in great condition. it's a two piece and the only thing that's wrong with it is that every once in a while a nail will pop up a bit and you have to nail it down so that the ball doesn't bounce funny.
i think i'll bike to the prime minister's house today, it's beautiful outside so why not. might have to get some eggs on the way though. a good 20-25 mile bike ride each way

The problem I have with biking is I tend to overdo it. 20 miles in the woods is nothing for me, most I have done is 65 in one day. Then, when I load everything up, it takes 2 days after to get the stink of me out of my truck. Other than that, its great.

so cycle 32.5 miles to somewhere, and 32.5 miles home and you don't need to take the truck at all.

uh.. i'm so exhausted.
i was woken up at 8:30am by my phone. neighbour sent a text asking whether his tyre was safe because he kerbed his wheel and took a chunk of rubber out of the sidewall.
started washing the Golf, felt tired, went very very slowly. got asked to more ~1,500lb of railway sleepers in the garden, did. sat in the car (in the driveway) listening to music.
and here i am now.
hurrah! shower time, then write in my journal..

i hear ya, it's very annoying riding on a street with a mountain bike, that's why i use my dad's 30 year old road bike. that thing simply flies, it's amazing, i even find myself passing slow-moving cars, or racing them without them knowning.

Well folks, I haven't been around due to the fact that I have been busy of late both on AF, work as well as home. Anyway wanted to share what has transpired recently.
First a bit of history, I have a corner house, as you can see in the pics, and it seems that there is an accident every few weeks at the intersection. Well I got fed up and sent a letter to the DOT (Dept of Transportation) Commissioner and a few other people about putting in a traffic light. This was back in April, I get a email saying they are looking into it and will give me a finding in mid June. This past Tuesday they put in two new stop signs on the avenue (the side street already had one). Well it seems that the jerks driving on the avenue are either blind or refuse to acknowledge that you have to stop now. I said to myself there will be another accident by weeks end.
Fast forward to yesterday, while eating an early dinner, we hear a loud thump (actually 3 thumps), the house felt like a truck was passing by and another accident happened. So we went to the front and bam, we see an suv had crashed into our front wall. :banghead:
It seems that a van coming down the street stopped and then proceed to go into the intersection. An SUV speeding down the avenue ignored the new stop sign (mind you, there is another sign half a block before telling you there will be a stop sign coming up), and it flies through the intersection. They crash and the suv is pushed toward my house, crashes through the new stop sign (which flies into the air and falls down on my neighbors brand new BMW suv and splits open the hood, and finally crashing into my wall.
Heres the pics... (more pics and video on my website (http://www.santafemods.com/images/Crashes/CornerAccidents/20070609/).)

btw that BMW suv you see there is my neighbors which when the SUV crashed through the stop sign, made it fly into the air and crashed on top of the BMW (which is only a few months old) like a guillotine and cracked the hood.

I predict another accident since the stop sign is no more. So we use the incredible do everything duct tape to put the stop sign back up. (Even though they are still flying through the intersection) and don't know if it would do any good. The DOT says it could take up till 14 days to respond to putting it back up. I am going to send these pics to the Commissioner and have them re-evalute their decision to put up stop signs instead of a traffic light.

As far as everyone else, you all whored it up again and I don't want to read it.
So, guess what...I finally did it, or should I say, her. I banged my ex. It was a nice little mission that I finally accomplished. Anyways, we talked today and I brought up that we should be 'friends w/ benefits' and she didn't say no. She just didn't like the fact that I could go with different girls as well. I thought it was humerous.

Get to my desk to take my lunch out, and my sandiwich is dripping, I think, damn, that's alot of oil. Then as I start wiping the inside up, I find gravel and grass, and then it hit's me, that's not oil, she somehow punctured a beer can and just left the beer spille din my bag :banghead:

The saga continues...
Bottom line, ALLSTATE INSURANCE SUCKS MAJOR DONKEY BALLS.. there I said it.
Now they are bouncing us back and forth between adjusters because they claim thats a major job and that another dept/section takes care of it. Suuurrreee... They are quick to get your damn money, but are slow as mollassess to pay out. We should have learned from the Katrina disaster with them not paying out those poor homeowners, that if anything ever happened to our home that we would have trouble getting them to pay out. :banghead:
As for being out on the lawn, naaa, we always hang out in the back yard where the BBQ station is at since its covered with an overhead green like awning. (It shows up on google earth.)

Saved the SUV from being a living room decoration.Yeah that would be scary, but in order for the suv to have gone into the living room it would have to have cataputed into the air 4 feet after hitting something. I'm just glad there is enough front yard to to have cushion the impact. ITs a shame I have not hooked up the security cameras to the VCR cause I would have caught everything on tape.
And yeah Jeremy, its a 2 family house detached garage, covered backyard/patio. Only thing wrong with it is that there aren't enough closet space. I had (on Friday) gone into an agreement to add hardwood floors to the first floor and redo the 2nd floor bathroom, but now with this, I will have to postpone the wood floor home improvement project. :banghead:
Oh, did I mention ALLSTATE SUCKS.

Whoa, I just caught that part. Note to self, if ever at TS' house, check bathroom vents and walls for hidden cameras before using washroom
