Question 91 caravan door chime

I have a 91 Caravan with a door chime that goes when it wants. Driving down the road it will go off 30-40 times before stopping. What i need to know is exactly where it is located so I can rip it out. Thanks

Re: 91 caravan door chime

Maybe not so easy! When I got my 94 Grand Caravan, I routinely dove under the console to remove the door/key/seatbelt chime. On other cars it was just a little box that unplugged. Well, I ended up disassembling the center console and removing the computer, and opened up the computer. The beeper is soldered on to the computer board! I didn't feel like unsoldering it so I put several layers of duct tape over the little hole in the beeper. Now I can barely hear it but it is still there.

Maybe you can find a bad door switch or wire that is actually causing the problem!
