toggle switch, and wiring help on location
1. I bought some nice fog lights for my car....I mounted them.......the hardest part is finding a location for the toggle switch..I have like -8 inch ground wire that I have to ground somewhere
2. How can I route my 2 positive wires "into the car"( one is for the battery, the other is directly to the lights)...Both are going to the toggle switch, I don't want to run them through the side door.. 3. As I was checking out my car (CE, 1998, Corolla, 4door) I notice wire harnesses that I dont even know of....on the left side of the car where the coin thing is where you can put like quarters..I pulled the thing out and founded what looks like an additional hook up harness (Female) for the stereo. (Dont know what that is)......the other is located under the steering wheel......any info, I would greatly appreciate it. |

nvm...I got it..
Well, I got some info from the chat room....
I used a sodering iron..which is a small sharp pencil shape looking..to cut the dash board...then used a screwdriver and chipped the melted plastic....looks like a dirt job but if you take your time...it came out perfect......I had to keep measuring because you definitely don't want to over cut. .......Some guy told me to use a dip stick to route my wire into the car......did that...came out alright.............now I have some solid hookup for my fog lights......Also, I was asking for a good location to put a toggle switch my 98 corolla, because it was hard to pick a spot..........I found a perfect spot...right behind the wiper control cm's next to the odometer panel.......right when you pull the radio out......there's a small hole on a metal bracket, I used a small screw with a nut and bolted my ground (Perfect)... |
