Nice, man. I bet it was scary, I tried getting my 323 to drive fast but past 90MPH it sounds like a jetfighter in category 5 storm.

1994 Celica gts. A few interesting things under the hood. 167mph on highway 77 west. The car floated a lot in the curves but it was great. I have a bad habit of forgetting there is a speed limit, three years without a single ticket.I can feel it coming though.lol

What!? How could you guys call BS on a claim of 167 mph in a 93 Celica coming from a member with 2 posts and who hasn't listed any mods?
Sounds perfectly believeable to me. I topped out at 172 on my Huffy just last week

lol before i dismantled my old 73 chevy pickup for restoration, it had an old tired 350 in it that only fired on 7 cylinders (yeah, it was really tired, more like on its deathbed). anyways, my speedo is a big block version that goes up to 100 mph and that is when the needle is at 4 o'clock. well, one time i got the needle to keep going all the way to 6 o'clock, and then i pussed out cause the steering wheel felt like a jackhammer lol. i was prolly only doing about 120, but thats not bad for an old ass pickup with a stock 350.
my buddys truck had a 454 that regularly cruised along at 140 with no strain on the motor at all, he just didnt want to over-rev it

142mph in teh GSR.....it didnt like it at all though....i loved listening to the turbo scream all the way up to 140.....ND is so open and boring, you can basically jump on the freeway and stuff it....let off when you're ready

The fasest ive gone was in the passenger seat of my cousins old formula 400 firebird. It had a bored and storked 406 bb from his dads race car and we only ever took it up to 160 we both pussed out b/c it wasnt running out of speed and the front end was starting to come up. My idiot cousin blew that motor up a month later so well never know how fast that old car could go. That thing would have made a hell of a drift car if u barely pushed the gas it could break the tires loose.

Porsche 997 Turbo, In Catalugna Spain on a private test track, a high speed Oval, 185 mph.
The greatest feeling is when you reach the banks at full speed and the car just sticks to the asphalt with just a little bit of dial in the steering.
One of the best thrills I had.

125 mph in my old 1989 Toyota Camry V6 LE. Bought the car at some crappy no-name dealership for $1400 CAD all-in, and loved that old crap box. Because it had zero safety features, it weighed as much as a shoe, and the little 2.5L DOHC could move that sucker. I'm sure it was more a seat-of-the-pants feel because the suspension was gone, but it was fun nonetheless. Raced my friend in a '94 Pontiac Grand Prix SE V6 3.1L, the old Toyota pulled ahead...slowly, but surely.
