Just 140mph so far. Things start to get alittle scary on public roads after much more than that. The car tops out at 164mph so perhaps someday I'll be brave enough to max her out.

ive been only up to 80. i only have my permit, but that will change in a few days... here in Hawaii if you are caught on the radar at 90mph or more then you are put into prison for a few years and your car is repo'd.

In my old car was cocked on radar at 207 MPH (331 KPH) car was impounded, spent from friday afternoon till monday in jail, paid $2,500 in fines and $250 for towing and storage of car, lost my licence for 1 year and placed on 1 year probation. The judge did cut me some slack. The clocking started in a 55 MPH zone and ended in a 65 MPH zone so he cut me 10 MPH on my speed, but ordered a certified speed limiter be installed on the car. The mechanic got a ticket but it was supended by the judge when he told the judge he couldn't comply with the court order unless he tested the car at speed on the highway. I sold the car.
On the Salt Flats if were talking about cars 294 MPH.

Depends on if your talking about street driven cars or race only cars.
I have a Z now that I really don't know how fast it well go cause the speedometer only goes to 190 MPH and it's never been clocked, but my friend has a similar car that went 225 MPH last fall and set a new world record for 3L cars with his and figures this year he'll go 250+MPH with a fresh engine.
Were building a 350Z with a VH45DE engine we'll be trying for 300 MPH with this fall.
As for wheel driven cars, I've gone over 450 MPH in one.

Please go back and read the posts. I was clocked at 207 in my Ruf. Do you honestly think a cop would try and catch me? I don't think so, but his radio was alot faster than me and I wasn't even aware I was being followed and a road block was being setup ahead of me. Knowing now and learning from that, when I feel the urge to make a fast blast, I make sure there's a exit a few miles up ahead and get off the road and take back roads home.
Now I live in Mexico and we only have one Hwy patrolman and he's a beer drinking buddy. So no problem.

hit 145ish in a merc 280c and danmed if the 3 other people in the car had no idea i was going that fast. i got to say merc got one hella smooth ride at speed. pluse it was the 280c cheap model , and had power for more, but alas 145 is also the speed i passed the cop at :(

135mph on vid, but I busted a quibo, so I let of, shortly after fixing it I burried the speedo (150mph) and still had pedal, but ran out of road. That was with full interior, a 4 cyl with some dope on top, 22psi, etc. German Fords rule, *87 merkur Xr4ti* looks like a cossy. I had my Hyundai Terracan up to 117 mph. It is Hyundai's version of a Range Rover. It is not avaible in the U.S. too bad because it is bad ass and it only cost about $17,000 dollars new. It has a turbo charged 2.5 Litter Diesel Engine. In Guatemala there is a 25 stretch of straight road.It goes from the mountains to the coast. No speed limits you just have to watch out for lose cattle and wild fires.

this is a revision of my previous post in this thread. now that i have my g2 and can drive alone on any street, the fastest i've driven (well not the fastest but the biggest possible speeding ticket) was 100mph (160kph) in a 50mph zone (80kph) i was just seeing how quickly my dad's truck accelerated and then realized i was doing twice the speed limit so i backed off lol.

Bought my dream car two months ago -- 2003 Porsche 911 Turbo X50. Acceleration pins you to the seat like nothing I've experienced before -- 0-60 in 3.6 secs. Had it up to 170mph, but not enough pavement to get it over 200. Very scary but an incredible rush. A Ford Cobra, C5 Vet, Mitsublishi 3000, Merc S500, Aston Martin DB7, BMW M3, and a Maserati something or other are among the cars that challenged my 911TT, but none of them came anywhere close. Some can get me off the start but when the turbos kick in it's over. This said I didn't buy it just for performance. It's handling is even better than it is fast. I also didn't want anything that looked cartoonish like a Viper or Ferrari. The 911 is the quintessential classic. I'm in heaven now.

yea, since the previous post of mine I"ve gotton rid of the turbo stang. Took the 1000cc CBR well fast 150mph, bye bye. :P

my piece of crap 73 chevy truck has a 350 in it so i was going down this hill once doing over 120 or 130 in a pickup truck lol. the speedometer is marked up to 100 at about 4 o clock and the needle stopped going up at about 6 o clock. it was so fun lol

I dont know how fast i was going but in an 89 4x4 Chevy Silverado. I went over 85 which is what the highest speed on speedo says and it came back around to 20 mph so i dont know what that was. In my current car a 99 cavilier i've gotten up to 108. Thats where the computer shuts it down at.

Yeh i have a 2003 Z-24 and it also shuts down at 108 mph.
My 2000 blazer used to shut off but installed hypertech programmer,
and gorilla chip . 1993 to the day they stopped making the camaro they
would do what the odometer said.I have had two of the late models and for just a stock car they are impressive.

Fastest ive gone was in the last cavalier I Had. I was going 180km/h. I think thats about 125mph. It was fucking scary. steering wheel was shaking but the car was going in a perfectly straight line.

the golf is the only car ive owned and i dont intend to borrow a friend's car to break my record! besides with the amount of speed cameras in the UK its pretty stupid to drive at these speeds.. could have gotten into serious sh*t... oh well...

back to the thread for a second, i did a nice 160 in my evo today. first time i've really opened her up since i finished the break-in. (2005 evo rs - white - 160 indicated on the speedo).

i had my uncle's 1994 Viper RT/10 up to 130mph.

ive taken my mustang up to 100 once when i was passing someone, and on a yamaha R6 i once had i got it up to about 120 before i got too scaired.

but the fastest ive gone was in my friends 91 3000gt VR4, we got up to about 140, 150 maby.

Those things are heavy but with 400+ WHP with minor mods you cant complain

New best 95mph trying to keep up with the Gen2 Lightnings on the way up to LightningFest.

i recently did 215kph in an accord v6, then someone wanted to change lane so i had to break, i wanted to get past the speedo, it ends at 220kph.

Only 110 sadly to say.... my second car and it tops out at around 110 or so... Not to bad for a 4 door Olds Alero 2000.... 4 banger automatic also.
