Decisions

If you had the chance to take either a Porsche Boxter or a BMW Z3, both the same year and in the same condition, which would you take?

i chose boxster, but it's got to be a boxster S.

if not, then an M roadster... since you didn't clarify on the type of z3...

maybe the M coupe, the z3 coupe with the M badge and tons of hp.

Boxster- game, set match- the 2.2 Z3 is too gutless, the 3.0 is a great engine, but is let down by the Z3's rush-job chassis and sloppy road manners- the Boxster however- is a masterpiece of engineering- and in the S version it only gets bettre- it is probably one of the best Chassis' in existance.

The Z3 (built in Carolina) also suffers from quality niggles

my point exactly jimster...

if we can choose the S version of the boxster, we should be able to choose the M version of the z3.

which i'd take over the boxster for the sheer fun of it.

if i was to shell out that kind of money for a porsche i'm not goin get no dinky little boxter, or the second rated carrera (to the 911 turbo) i would get the 911 turbo. and if we get to choose the top of the line of the two cars, i would choose the M roadster. that thing is sheer sexy. the boxster always looked ugly to me. and the M roadster will run circles around the underpowered boxster S

in my opinion, and it's just my own opinion, i think the boxter is a poor excuse for a porche. it was a sad day the day porche released the boxter, almost as bad as the day they released a porche SUV.

for this reason, i'd choose the bimmer.
that's just me though.

since you're choosing between two cars, and no one said you're paying for it, take that option out, and just choose a car, don't base it on the price tag.

geez.

The Boxster looks to bland to me. That in itself is the biggest disqualification. I'll take the Z3. (not that I'd buy one, but I like it better then the Porsche)
