Brass restictor DPFI

I have been seeing threads where people talk about removing a brass restrictor or something like that from the dual point injection. I would love to know how to do this becuase my DX needs all the HP gains It can get . If someone could help me that would be great.
Thanks

ok first open the hood, you'll see black circle thing that says PGM-FI on it.Unscrew the four screw holding that on. Pull top off, and you'll see the little brass plate, take off the nuts holding it down, replace the bolts and screw top back on

I remember seeing this. Anyone know the verified gains vs loss in fuel economy?

I use my hatchie as a daily driver so fuel econ is important to me (esp with prices now! Yikes) but the poor little STD issue B1 wouldn't mind a few horses.

TIA

i wouldn't say a HP gain. it's allowing more air flow. so i'd say it's more like you gain response than hp.

only way to get HP out of a dx cheaply is upgrading to MPFI. you get a 16-20-ish gain with that. i say 16...i've had people argue me 20. go for what you know i suppose.

tighten the throttle cable also, you'll get more response from that too.

Watch out my fuel economy dropped for 32 mpg to 31 mpg. Don't worry about fuel economy from that brass plate, i think it was more for emmisions.

Good point

I was also wondering about the fuel economy but that question has been answered. Wow I was gone for 3 days and so many things happen. Thanks for all the help.

Yeah how do you tighten your throttle cable?
