Question Need help on 2000 stock SI

OK, I need some help BAD! I have a 2000 civic SI and it is all stock except i lowered it and wheels etc. No motor work yet. Many of my friends tell me all this shit i should do to it, but i think they have no clue what they're talking about or if it would be good on my overall life of my engine. My question is: What should I do to my car first, engine wise, to boost it up to around 200hp? ALL MOTOR... no turbos. If you all could help me out that would be great!

your car is 160 hp stock im pretty sure....if you want to go all motor you should start with the basics.....header, cold air intake, exhaust, that may get you up around 180 hp...upgrade your ignition system a high flow cat. converter, upgrade your throttle body, performance cam sprocket, upgrade intake manifold....with all that you should be around or above 200hp ..but if you want some serious power i would get a turbo and all that other good stuff.....

i would add a set of cams to that list at least. if your going to add a sprocket, may as well have something better to tune with, i recommend the CTR and ITR cams if you want to stay honda. some new pistons would also be a good idea, like the ITR pistons. the stuff listed before is great, but only adds very small amounts at a time. you should also think about a chipped ecu or a piggyback to help manage all of this. good luck.
