Can someone tell me how to get the stock springs out of 93 accord and replace it w/ coilovers?? I dont want to take it to a shop because it will cost alot and i want to actuallie learn how to do it myself. Saves tons. Anyone with knowledge or set of instructions on how to replace stock springs w/ coilover ----please help me.
93 accord lx---replacing all stock springs w/ coilovers. Can i also swap my 93 accord sohc 2.2L with a 2.2L JDM dohc??? Rims: is it better to go with just 1" above the stock rims to have better control??? Another problem: when i make a right turn of left turn, there's a noise coming from the engine--sounds like 2 rubbers rubbing each other. At any speed---the noise comes on and off when making a turn. Could it be that the steering wheel has a loose bolt or what's happening in there??? THanks to those who respond--- Hmoob |

Re: need help replacing stock w/ coilovers
Get yourself a repair manual from www.helminc.com & you will also need a spring compressor. The job is pretty easy if not bolts are seized. Check all of your suspension bushings

1st of all, i would suggest a helms manual to anybody with a car..lol..
2nd...the turning thing sounds like your cv joints might be going bad, does it sound like clicking? bad cv joints are caused by accelerating quickly while turning 3rd....rim sizes are how however big you want them, if you ask, you'll get a million different opinions to go on, but like with everything, the best opinion you should take is one you decide on your own.... good luck w/ everything with you car, and ever need anything dont be afraid to ask...thanks

Make sure u measure your drop and everything correctly...when using coilovers u need to measure and reameasure when putting them on...I put some on my civic...big pain...much easier to go with springs. Like they said get a manual...I used Chiltons and it helped me out ALOT!

Re: need help replacing stock w/ coilovers
yea, i'm debating whether if i should put my coilovers on or not. Putting them on stock shocks will blow them, so i was thinking bout saving up money for KYB's or Koni Yellow shocks.

Re: Re: need help replacing stock w/ coilovers
Don't bother with coilover sleeves, either spend the money & get the real thing or stick with aftermarket struts & normal non-adjustable lowering springs.
