car wont start please help

I have discovered my old truck isn't working. When i turn the key it makes no sound at all. We've been push starting it but i would appreciate any help with this.

Sounds like a bad ignition. I would get another one. You can find them at checker auto, they are relatively cheap.

Possibly someone has some better input? It just sounds like a bad ignition to me.

Both sound feasible, If you get the truck running and keep it running for a while (to make sure that the battery gets fully charged) turn it off and try to start it back up again. If it won't start I would recommend looking at a new ignition. If it does start you should look at the battery.

If you have a battery charger this will also help to determine whether its a faulty ignition or a bad battery.

Starter or Alternator Maybe

Starter could be going, push start usually gets this to work....alternator could be messing with the battery....check all mentioned problems before buying a solution.
