Car Wont Start Please Help!
Hi,
I tried starting my car up and it wouldnt start. It just cranks and wont start up. The spark plugs are new and the wires are in the correct firing order. Also all spark plugs were checked for spark and they had good. It is the DPFI engine and Im pretty sure the wires are correct? question: If one of the sensors wasnt in the correct plug could it cause it not to start? Ex. Throttle Position Sensor or Electronic Air Control Valve? Also the red rope thing that comes from the charcoal canister I dont have one at the moment cause I cut it too short for the D16. If I didnt have that connected would that prevent it from starting? I hooked the battery to a 75 amp jumpstarter so its gettin enough juice. It just cranks and doesnt start. A few times it made a little sound like it wanted to start but that was it. Any other tips? Please help ASAP. Thanks A lot.

try to locate the fuel filter. i think ur's is located on the passenger side firewall. there is a bolt on top of the fuel filter. unscrew the bolt. there should be fuel coming out. if u have the fuel pressure gauge and the right fitting, u could screw that in and check the fuel pressure. if u don't have one, then have somebody crank the engine and watch to c if there is alot of fuel coming out of the hole. it safer to use the gauge. this will c if u have enough fuel going to the engine. if no fuel or very little fuel coming out, then u have fuel problem. it could be fuel pump or the main relay. alot of order honda have problem with the main relay(which give power to the fuel pump). hope this help..

I just finished checking it and fuel is definetly coming out.
I dont think it could be my main relay because I had just took the engine out and put the same one back in. I think it may be the way I have the hoses conneted? Anyone got a diagram or pic of how the hoses connect to the intake manifold on a DPFI engine? Thanks

Ok sorta good news.
Started the car up today and it starts but it automatically revs to as high as it can. I used the hose routing diagram and I got the hoses were they belong. So the hoses are correct now. But what do you think is causing it to go to redline? Thanks

Ok,
I tried it again and I must have been mistaken when u start the car with the clutch held it automatically revs up tp 3500 RPM and stays there. Thanks.

LOL, ok I found out the problem why it revs to higer than idle speed RPMS.
The cable was not lettin the throttle go all the way down so when u started it, it would stay in that position. Well I fixed it so the thottle cable works perfectly and automatically goes all the way down when the accelerator is released. But it now idles at 1100 RPM which is alot better than 3500 RPM. I mean it drivable. But is it safe to drive like this for a while until I figure out the problem? The check engine light is on also. Could it be the red ropey thing that goes from the canister on the left of the fuel filter? I do not have that part connected because I lost that red hose? Thanks
