I've done it in one of my old cars
simple and leaves plenty of room for an ignition...charge pipes...99-00 si intake...whatever...summit has kits real cheap...or get an optima battery and you wont need a box.

Yeah, I'm going to be doing the same thing soon, going with an Exide Orbital battery...

i did it. its fairly simple. i got a terminal to join all the positive lines together and mounted it on one of the existing holes in the fender wall from the stock airbox. then i used my already existing stereo amp wire as my main positive line. mounted the battery in the back, made a 2 foot long ground (or earth, if youre aussie) and fastened it to one of the bigger studs that hold the back seat in. right now its doing fine, even with that tiny stock battery. soon ill get a better battery, and then run a new lead to my amp.

I really hope that the amp-wire that you're using is really big! If your wiring guage is too small, you can start a fire in your car.

incucivic, you've got a std with a b16? Want to do that too. How hard was the wiring and the swap and what do you run?

the amp wire is big, like jumper cable big.
the swap wasnt too hard considering i had a CRX Si sitting in front of my house with the b16 in it, and i just pulled everything from it. the problem comes with the wiring, i used the CRX engine harness, but retained my STD main harness. i had to make a subharness for this, because there are more plugs on one side of the engine bay and a different shaped plug on the other side of the engine bay. it runs, thats about it. as far as 1/4 time, its not so hot right now, i have some serious issues to work out, but it ran a 16.7, this was with the motor not even running about halfway through 3rd gear. it likes to kill in VTEC in 3rd gear, dunno why
