ahh some of the hydraulic tranny's come lsd. there are 2 types of tranny's, hydralic and cable. i believe the lsd only came with the hydraulic tranny. you can go b16a1, or b18a1, or ls vtec using a b16a1 head. but you said you only got 2800, and the ls vtec might make you go over your budget if you want to build it properly. so i say go b16a1 because its 160hp already and youll run probably really low 15s or high 14. plus with the extra money you can buy some performance parts. oh and your crx has a cable tranny and i never heard of anyone swapping in a cable to hydro tranny swap before, so you want to get a cable tranny. if you get the b16a2 then you gotta conver to obd 1 idk how hard it is to do

Since you're not building the motor...get an LS...
You can get a good LS motor for $800
Tranny (Y1,J1,S1 or YS1 (LSD) $400 YS1 for maybe $800 if you find one.

add ons:
New clutch kit (stock) $200
waterpump $75
timing belt $75

cap & rotor $120
Plugs $40
oil & filter $50

coolant $15
clutch cable $75
throttle cable $75

ECU pr4 $100
non obd distributor $100
axles $150

intermediate shaft $75
dpfi to mpfi wiring harness $200
shift linkage $150

above price is a ball park figure and I'm sure you can find most of the parts locally...to save on shipping and all.

Running Total is: $2700, pretty much a new motor except for the valvetrain and pistons...Just make sure you get a good motor thats all...:flash:
