Re: lsvtec or b16a2

I'd agree with Green A GSR is your best bet.

As building LSVTEC = lots of skills or money to a good shop if you even have one nearby.

While pretty much anyone can get a GSR swap and install if not any shop could do it for you.

c1 is a great motor to work with too

You also have the JDM type R K2O with 220hp which I think has an 8400 rev limit. I don't know the torque but it is most likely around the same, probably 143lbs, and compression is like 11:1

hmotorsonline.com sells JDM K20's for 5500 + tax + shipping. Good way to go naturally aspirated, a K20A with a CAI and some tuning can make 210 WHP, with a ported head, cams, and full exhaust 240 WHP is not unheard of. Hasport has everything you need to finish the swap.

ls/vtec with pr3 pistons and basic boltons=220whp. Don't get a K-series motor. The b-series has more parts and is tried and proven. And cheaper for that matter. Don't get an ls/vtec. I have one and it's a great motor, but there is no possibilty in getting it to pass smog unless you get it done illegally. My friend just got a b18c1 in his 92 hatch legalized. That is kickass. Go with a b18c1 or better yet a c5. The b16's don't have enough torque and are too slow.

Oh, evo's are slow. SRT-4 beat them on the freeway, and in a race a little longer than a 1/4 mile. I have no respact for evo's. STi on the other hand kick ass.
