distrubution belt / gps

I have to replace my distribution belt within 1 month or so, have you got any suggestions if there is a good possibility for tuning it? I know there are some lightweight wheels, are there any more possibilities, and do you think they work?

My dad also bought a gps, so I could measure the ‘fault’ of my speedometer, pretty surprising I must say. With 50 the gps said about 45, 80 about 74/75, 140 about 134, 200 about 193… so it all divers about 5-7 km/h, it just looks like the speedometer is turned counter clockwise for some degrees. I always thought it was more like a percentage of the speed. So I can always drive about 10 km/h faster than permitted (always 3km/h ‘marge’ at the cops). I also measured a Peugeot 106, almost exact the same data. I think it also counts for other honda’s then.

That's nice to clock your real speed, I also thought it was more like a percentage of the speed, interesting. But I did read in AutoWeek that every car has a different accuracy, they did a test and some were almost exact and some were waaay off, they also said manufactures on purpose let the speedo point out more and never less for safety reasons...

I hope this post makes any sense, I've had a few drinks

I also read autoweek... the accuracy they measured was not that big like i did, i was al little surpriced with that. The gps should work ok, it had good 'ontvangst', accuracy is 0.05 m/s. And tyrewear will also play a part in it. (mine are just a few months old). and offcourse 16" with flat tires wil never have exactly the same size as the standard 14 or 15 " with 'normal' tires.

I can't notice you reply is drunk :bathroom:

There's actuelly very little difference between them (offcourse depends on the size). The diameter of my 16" rims with 205/45 tyres is exactly the same as my stock diameter. With a 17" and 205/40 there's only 0.5cm difference between them.
