My friend is "trying" to replace the water pump on my "94" SVX, and is unable to get past the timing belt.
He wants to know where the fly access hole is at? Flywheel access hole? Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks |

Re: How to change timing belt?
I presume this is the 3.3 L. I am not sure what you are referring to, "fly access hole".
You have to remove the timing belt inorder to replace the water pump. This in itself requires a few precautions that need to be followed. If you or your friend do not have a repair manual on this vehicle I strongly suggest you either purchase one or go to your library and see if they have a copy. The crank timing marks can be a little confusing and make sure that the spacer behind the tensioner pulley is installed. Also when pushing the tensioner rod back into the cyclinder make sure it is over a 3 minute period or you can damage the hydraulic tensioner. Good Luck |
