Stalling with emergency break

Recently snowed, I decided to have some fun by going to empty parking lot and doing spin out by pulling on the emergency break, did a few 180. The car stalled twice, is this a safety mechanism. My friend's 00 accord doesn't have this problem. Any ideas, Thank you.

I'm pretty sure it is. My friend was doing that with his ford and it stalled a couple of times. I think it depends on how far you roll back while you're in Drive.
