What engine options do I have?
I'm currently looking for a new engine for my '93 S-10. It only has 49k on the engine and truck, but my valve seats are bad, and I would reallt like a fuel injection system. What different engine sizes can I put in, in the way of cyliders and Liters. I currently have a 2.8 V6

Re: What engine options do I have?
yeah you might as well ignore that guy, as you can tell he is about as usefull as a ten peckered toad in a fish pond. Anyways if your looking to put a bigger engine in, your limited by your transmission, a 4.3 won't bolt up to your tranny, and even if you change tranny's you need to get a computer for the 4.3 aswell. Although i hate to admit it, he does have a point about your valves, why not just bring the heads into a machine shop, put in new valve seats and drive on. Hopefully that will point you in the right direction.

You know, that's what I thought about the '93. That is ALREADY had fuel injection in it ... my father is an idiot ... (I'm new to S10s, otherwise I would've been able to back myself up on that). How much do you think valve seat replacments would cost?
