Can i run 4 ohm subs at 2 ohms?

I have two rockford HE and a 501s(125rms x 2 at 4ohms) amp for them. I'm not sure how to run them at 2 ohms or even if it is possible. If someone could help that would be great.

you just hook the 2 speakers in parallel (+ to + and - to -)...... but be forewarned, when you bridge the amp, each side of the amp only "sees" 1/2 of the load. Rockford amps don't usually like 1 ohm stereo (2 ohm bridged) loads.

Re: Can i run 4 ohm subs at 2 ohms?

you cannot run a single 4ohm sub at a single 2ohm load, so no. You could wire those 2 speakers together to get a SINGLE 2ohm load, but then you could only use one channel of the amp since it's not stable at 2ohm when bridged.
