I was looking under the bed and forgot all about this Pioneer Amp I picked up last year from a buddy for $100. It has never been installed. The model is GM-X334 and is rated at: 30W X 4 / 70W X 2 at 4 ohms and 35W X 4 at 2 ohms.
I would like to run my front 6 1/2's and a 10" single sub off this one amp. I am thinking I should run 2 channels in stereo to the 6 1/2's and bridge the other 2 channels for mono power to the sub. I am not good with stereo wiring so I am asking for help. Am I right about the 2 channels for the mids/highs and bridge the other 2 for the sub? What ohm sub should I go with? Any idea how much the 2 channels bridged would put out to the sub? Thanks!

Interesting, depending on the 6.5's you go with your looking at 4-8 ohm load. That amp puts out 35 X 4 @ 2ohms and 70 X 2 @ 4ohm. Now if you were going to run 6.5" speakers off this amp, you could probably get away with it, but generally speaking 6.5" speakers carry a 4 ohm or 8 ohm load, so your speakers would take up 2 channels seeing about 30 watts a peice, not to mention you want to hook subs up as well. Now in my opinion the only possible way to run subs off that amp would be by going with some low wattage 8's or maybe 10's even then you wont be getting much from them.

go with 4 ohm sub, it'll still only be 70 watts though and the speakers will get 30 a piece, not much power, but it'll make noise
