dirt accumulation under the hood

I didn't see any other threads on this topic if there is one than i'm sorry for the pollution.

Anyway, i noticed right off that there seems to be more dirt/sand up under the hood than i like to see and was wondering if anyone had done any mods to reduce the build up. Or any ideas on a mod that wouldnt look hick would be cool too. It cant be good for anything under the hood to get a shower of road dirt.. Thanks in advance..

Re: dirt accumulation under the hood

My 2001 has a floppy rubber seal, like the kind used on the bottom of a garage door, that sort of hangs off the bottom of the hood and rests against the radiator support when the hood is closed. This should probably help keep wind-driven junk out.

Are there rubber control arm flaps on your car? They would fit on the inner fenders.
