Door/light problem after gauge swap

Hello out there.
I just swapped out the boring standard gauge cluster from my 2000 with a cluster that had the tach in it. Everything seems to work fine except for the door sensor or switch. I open the driver's door and the door ajar light comes on, and stays on after closing the door, and of course the dome light will come on and stay on as well. After pulling power and putting the power back, I tried the two back doors, as well as the passenger door, and the door light didn't come on, but as soon as I opened the driver's door, it came on and stayed on again. I checked the switches. I also put the old cluster back in and it seemed to work fine. So is there any differences in the clusters besides the tach and/or does it need to be reprogrammed some how?
Also, after resetting power to it, I can turn the dome light on manually, and both the door ajar light in the odometer and the dome light come on, however, once I turn the switch off, but of them stay on. I also did have the key in the on position.
Thanks for any and all help.
Jason
