i think it would be kind of hard, especially with the 4 wheel steer, i'm not sure which models have it and which dont, since i dont know much at all about 3000gt's, but anyways, i wouldnt suggest trying it unless you have a large open area...

thanks for cleaning the thread taranaki

i thought in drifting the whole car is in an "understeering" position? well...i dont know because im not a drifter...lol..VR4 drifting? that would be pretty cool if it was possible in real life. but i'll make the impossible...possible....

IN MY DREAMS!!! hahaha

Re: ?! 3000GT VR4 Drift?!!?

it is possible in real life.
i've not seen any 3000gt's with aws lately, or at all, honestly...

it's twin turbo and awd. wouldn't be hard to drift at all.

drifting is an OVERSTEER situation

in stock form, the vr4 has some understeer, but the tuned ones that i've been in can get it slideways with ease

Re: ?! 3000GT VR4 Drift?!!?

there is a guy on here with a 700hp 1998 3000GT VR4 who drifts. Its peral white. I think his screen name is 98Mitsu3000gt or sumptin along those lines.

He said that they drift quite nicely but when you get grip at eather end without wanting it you have to do some serious recovery work.

Id love to see one drift.

Drifting a VR4

I own a 1994 VR4 myself. If you are new to drifting a VR4 is a hard car to control. If you can master the art of 4 wheel drift you will be able to go deeper than all other cars out there. A expert drifter in a 4 wheel drive car can take a car into a negative (back end going down the road first) drift and back. I enjoy drifting my VR4. If you can master the drift, you will have more fun sliding your car than you can handle. Feathering the throttle is the key. I drift my car into a mean angle every day up the onramp of I-15 every day. The 4 wheel steering makes it tricky, but as long as you are at a high enough speed it will not engage. Try it for yourself. take his advise though find a open space until you get good at it.
