You can get a WAI (Warm Air Intake) if you're afraid of ingesting water. These are the ones that are inside the engine compartment.
My Sentra is equipped with a K&N WAI The CAI (Cold Air Intake)is the one that draws outside air to the engine. Most have a long tube and are located usually in the wheelwell. AEM has a water bypass valve and so do other manufacturers. You install these to prevent your CAI from drawing up water into the engine. What to buy is your choice, but i'd go for a CAI.. i think either aem or hotshot will be your best bet at an intake. both are around $250 (i think).
i have a weapon-r intake (first ever made for the b13 ga16de's). it works and i can clean it. i hope to get the hotshot cai in the near future. |
