A ? To All Impreza Owners???????

I Have owned my 98 impreza for a week now and i like it alot. one of my first ?'s is what is the dif. between a 99 impreza with SOHC and a 98 with DOHC is one of them faster than the other? another ? is what are some of the problems known or experianced with your impreza's? oh yeah and what is so bad about dropin the clutch? and where is a good place to find performance parts for a 98 impreza? just a few ?'s i wanted to know... all the help is appreciated

well the diffrence between sohc and dohc is the additional cam. dohc is known for its ability to effectivly move power from one place to another. however the head gasket tends to crack every 40k miles on most vehicles equiped with dohc.

parts for the 1998 are realy easy to locate especialy external engine parts.

just use google for subaru preformance parts. since you have the RS it should be pretty easy. if you need to put impreza rs preformance parts in the window try that.

I want 11 second power, turbo, a sweet body kit just some web sites on my car and other parts 2 just about everything you can think of i want but i obviously aint gonna get it lol just post what you got and i will check it out thanks

With that said, cobbtuning will be a good place to looks for strong engines. And turbonetics will get you the right turbo for the engine and what type of power curve you want.

Expected at least 400bhp to hit 11's in the 1320

i raced a 98 impreza an smoked his car, its black , an we were racing around turns and he couldnt keep up not even with the all wheel drive power i guess its really b/c that kid cant drive

What did you race him with?

Your Camaro? Then I should hope you won since you had more straight line speed!

At most a 98 will be a 2.5RS naturally aspirated....

Maybe it's not the kid can't drive, maybe you pick on cars that you know you will beat so you can brag about a 'kill' that was never an even race?
