All Impreza Experts, Please Help!

I was originally going to get an Integra for my first car, but i hate FrontWD. After seeing averthing about every other Import, I decided on an Impreza. The problem is I cant find any info on them. I am looking to buy one, but have no idea which years to look out for, which engine models are best, etc. I have seen in Auto Trader some 93-95 ones for like 4k. Are those worth getting? Should I spend 2 more K for a 96??? What engine should I look for, which are the best? Any such info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

There is plenty of info on the impreza in this forum!! If I was you i would get a WRX for 2 reasons: 1. It will blow the doors off an integra, and 2. there is plenty of after market performance parts that would keep you busy for a long time.

Ultimately it's up to you, but if you can get the WRX.:flash:

Yea I would love to get a WRX but I really dont have the spare 20K laying around. I'm talking about the Impreza, not the Impreza WRX. And I have no idea what to look for still, even after browsing this forum.

if you want awd performance and a turbo...get a laser/talon/eclipse, you can modify one all you want, plenty of avalble parts. its not the prettyest looking but it is defanatly fast, 210 stock and with about $300 worth im mods you will go way faster than a wrx. i have a couple of friends that have thies cars and they would whoop my wrx when it was stock. that car has to be the best awd power for the buck.
