New Subaru Impreza Owner

I'm a new owner of a brand new Subaru Impreza. It's a nice car and it's quick. I have a few questions. What can I do to improve the radio in it...it's the only thing about it i don't like. I don't need subwoofers and all that crap..but a nice quality sound. It has a 6 disc changer in it right now..what else can I get and do with this car to make it look unique....just simple stuff, nothing drastic..

let me know,
mike

Welcome

Have you considered changing the speakers from the stock ones, that alone can improve the quality.

Got photos of your car?

Re: New Subaru Impreza Owner

I've heard that just replacing the front splits can improve sound quality by a surprising amount. 6.5" is a good size.

But of course, if you're gonna do that, then u may as well get a new head unit as well and a pair of coaxials in the back.

And if you don't find that loud enough, get an amp.

Re: New Subaru Impreza Owner

I got the 05 rs and the stock stereo head(deck) is awesome. It is the same model that is in the 06 sti( saw it a t the auto show last week? The speakers are a different story however. I think the rs just comes with four door speakers and two little ones by the door handle.
I dont know too much about stereo things but my friend has got the whole rockford fosgate system in his car and that sounds great. I would alos recommend, that is if you have the resources to do so, fabricate some moutings in the back window for a couple of 6X9's

But other than that I agree with ms WRX up there that you would have to mount an amp somewhere in the car to get optimal quality

just my 2 cents
