E40D Tranny Swap info needed!

hi, I'm Phil

Soon i will be preparing to put in a new E40D transmission in my 1989 Ford F-250 Pickup.

I would like to know the proper gear that a vehicle needs to be in to remove the transmission and safety procedures in which will be needed to remove the trans...

I hurd you put it in neutral with emergency brakes on and chock the tires am i correct?
